Yep...the minute that Allison was like "You need to have lost 105"...all of American knew she won, since she left the ranch at losing 99. And there was no way in hell she hadn't lost 6 additional pounds. And it was awesome to see the one brother miss the winning amount by one pound...GO BERNIE! |

For some reason this season really got me thinking that it can't possibly be healthy to lose all that weight that fast because of how much it seems to have
aged a lot of the later contestants in the face. Obviously being 300+ pounds isn't healthy in and of itself but.... I don't know. They do promote
healthy eating and I get that they have to exercise that much each day to get large numbers to make for a good TV show but there's no way this could be
healthy when it comes down to it. Were human bodies built to endure that much constant exercise for 4 straight months with no breaks?

Is that why the men on the blue team voted Amy off in season 3? They never gave an explanation on the air, and I remember Amy being totally shocked and
pissed.
Anyway, Marty and Amy are married now. Are there updated pictures of Erik? Matt from season 2 looks like he gained nearly everything back. |

Erik was on that Did They Keep The Weight Off? special and had gained back 40lbs at that point.
Poppi says it's easier for the people who lose weight off the ranch to maintain because they're losing it in the place they gained it. The people on the ranch lose it in isolation in an artificial situation. 
She actually lost more than Ali. |

^That makes sense. They would also have had to conquer their "emotional demons" in their environment...no place to run away from. People at the
ranch may have done some soul searching but it would have been academic until they were physically back to where all the problems began - back in their own
reality.

I absolutely love this Australian season and want Ali to win more than anything. Anyone but Gary really would make me happy. I find it funny that it seems
like the Australian episodes (even though they are on almost everyday) seem to hold my attention more than the American episodes that are only once a week. I
think it has something to do with the Australian episodes doing family visits/ phonecalls a lot less frequently. It doesn't feel like every episode is
focused on someone crying about getting to talk to or see their family. Oh and with Biggest Loser Families/ Couples Part 2 it looks like I will be sticking
with Australia as my number 1 for Biggest Loser fix. For anyone curious and ambitious they are on youtube.
