Yeah, I pretty much feel the same way. Even though that doesn't keep me from cracking on his oddness and some of the fanatic and PapaPorkchop silliness/cwaziness connected to him.

I've gotten to where I'm almost waiting for either his voice to give out or for him to have some kind of meltdown, because I think there's a decent chance of one or both happening in his future. I can only imagine the entertainment value of getting to see the reactions of his worshippers if either thing occurs doing the course of the competition.

But, since he'll probably hold it together and win, it'll be interesting to see how he handles being schlepped around to the Tonight Show, The View, Letterman, and the like.

Wonder what those tv viewers who are unfamiliar with him will think when they get a load of his breathy, golly-gee, hee, persona? Not to mention their initial reactions when his thirteen-year-old looking self clicks and whirrs his way across the stage after they've heard the introduction for a seventeen-year-old singer.

Then again, maybe a huge number of them will wind up falling under his dark spell, too.
