Does this mean that the current season was supposed to be set in 2003, and that the new season will be set in the present? Or will we be getting a little "Back to the Future" 2013 action? I can't wait to see Lynnette's kids on hoverboards. The worst part of this is that we won't have any more fun interaction between Lynnette's son and McClusky. They were one of my favorite couples on the show. And what about all the unresolved storylines: Danielle being the mother of Edie's grandnephew (niece? It's been so long, I forgot the baby's gender) The antagonism between Lynette and her stepdaughter Mike's drug rehab (KIDDING! That actually justifies the FF) All the luscious bitchiness between Bree and Dana Delaney (forgot her character's name) If Edie doesn't survive the season finale as rumored, do you suppose next season will be a whodunnit pieced together from flashbacks? Ugh. Cherry obviously spent the writer's strike watching DVDs of Lost. This is just going to diffuse all the dramatic tension. Total jump the shark moment.

She's gonna get a huge slap on the wrist by Marc Cherry, that's for sure.

I'm not sure if it would work that well for Desperate Housewives. As for the years, I suppose they'll keep it "timeless" and not mention what year it is.

Tim was ho-hum. Dylan is hott. I liked seeing Mike in rehab, and Susan preggers. Gabby was just spectacular, and Edie was back to the good ol' Edie (who does nottry to ruin your life and send you to jail). Bree was nice, Lynette was too, but neither were stellar.

Teri Hatcher wasn't awful, in fact one of her better episodes. Carlos being blind is going to get old really fast. And where the hell was Mrs. McClusky coming out of at the beginning of the episode? She doesn't have a house. Did she move into Ida's? Next week looks better, love the return of Rick to spice up the Lynette storyline. I really just want the Katherine Mayfair plot to be resolved so we can move her into a different direction. I assumed she killed her husband but we still don't know everyone or how Dylan got brainwashed.

Spoiler [+] It seems like their is a lot more to the mystery then we've been shown because I read that her assumed dead ex arrives on Wisteria Lane. So maybe that wasn't her ex? It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out in the next 3-4 episodes.

I actually liked the part when Susan catches Katherine & her nephew (or was it cousin?) in bed. I thought the exchange between the three of them was funny. Bree/Lynette were the strongest part of the episode (as usual). Gabby/Edie didn't do that bad either. It was just, underwhelming. After all these months of not airing, you think they would at least write an entertaining, worthwhile episode. I hope next week will be better.

Normally there are several funny scenes, but everything here just seemed to drag on. You could tell they were trying to have gags and stuff, but none of them worked. Hopefully next week is better.

According to Ida's niece/nephew, she only has one week to stay there, but she'll just probably be there indefinitely.
