But your ratings on your chart differ a lot from the ratings you posted for this episode (like Amanda, Jason, Cirie & Eliza). Final ratings for astro... DABU Alexis - MOR3 (I do see the CP comments she made, but I don't think she was actually edited to be complex, like...) Amanda - CP4 (...she was. I know she'll probably get MORN3, but I still think she wasn't negative, she almost cried, and she had the scenes with Parvati and her fake/true reactions to it shown right to us, and then her thoughts on Alexis snuggling up with Ozzy. I don't see how she wasn't CP.) Cirie - UTR2 (as others have said, the premiere & the merge aren't good episodes to get her cooldown time.) Eliza - CPM5 (sure, the reaction is positive here, but that's because it's Sucks and Eliza has a big fanbase. The casual viewer is saying, "Yeah, Eliza is a great character, but it was definitely her time to go." That's mixed.) Erik - MORP2 James - UTR1 (I'm glad he's so invisible this season!) Jason - MORP4 (Went with mixed at first, now I say positive. Probably because I gave Jaime an OTTP5 in her boot episode last season.) Natalie - UTR1 (Poor girl. It's not that she's boring, it's just that she has no storyline.) Ozzy - MOR3 Parvati - CP4 (No negative anymore, at least her self-reflection on her many alliances was good-natured and she laughed about it.) Winner: Parvati

Alexis\Nat spilled the beans just like Erik did when they decided to go with Parv's deal (something anyone with a brain could deduce and which was confirmed in E's interviews). 3) You have to be awfully prudish and uptight to keep going on about the peewater comment and flirting with the Micronesian (which was cute not sexual). Parv was raised by hippies not bible-thumpers so deal with it. 4) When you're switched into a minority situation you gotta make deals. Would you have Parv say "sorry, can't make any promises beyond the merge becsuse I have to clear them with Amanda." Either Amanda is N for being a jealous fool, or Ozzy is N for making her jealous, before Parv is N in that scene. The show is marketed to an older audience. If the winner is a young player, then they'd be someone that the viewers can respect, even if they don't like them. After the outrage over Jenna's win where she got thrown under the bus by the editors, do you REALLY think that they would go out of their way to make their winner look stupid and immature with all those scenes I pointed out? They would definitely show the scene of Parvati talking to Natalie about playing the game in segments, but they wouldn't show a lot of the other shit they've shown. Hell, even ARAS was shown as a voice of reason among the crazy people on his tribe.

I agree that Amanda is playing the tired old role of woman- who- fights- over- two-timing- man. But, the origins of that behavior is doubled for Amanda in this case. Sure, she could go postal on Ozzy, but Ozzy is her prize and Alexis is her threat. She's not so much forgiving Ozzy as much as his morals are of no consequence to her first priority: get rid of the threat to her game. She doesn't want to get rid of Ozzy, even if she'd like to wring his neck. Due to both Parvati's alliance move and Ozzy's interest in Alexis, Amanda has to do all she can to get rid of Alexis asap. Amanda will have Alexis as her only priority until she succeeds or fails, so look for this action to stay at high heat. It's gonna be fun. P.S.: Parvati is in a win-win situation. If Amanda is successful, it's no skin off of Parvati's nose. If she's not, Parvati still has two potential alliances partially intact. She doesn't have to cross either alliance, while Amanda puts both of hers at risk.

Leave the kid alone. Besides, her play is up front, fun, and honest. Alexis didn't get to her spot next to Ozzy by accident. so..... Go Parvati!

Her two (?) confessionals, at least the two I remember, were about how she wants Alexis out because she's ruining what bond she has with Ozzy and how she feels betrayed by Parvati and doesn't want to up against a motivational speaker and questions Parvati. However, Amanda's side story line here wasn't very profound as the rest of the episode. It was a storyline that was seperate from the big one. It was just filler. If it was CP, they would have shown Amanda talking about how she's trying to get Alexis out rather than have Cirie have the confessional about going along with it as long as it keeps her safe. It just shows Amanda as someone narrating the relationship between Ozzy and Alexis. No viewer is going to take away from this episode thinking that Amanda was developed as a character and that we got into her head. Any viewer could have known she was jealous, whether or not she had a confessional about it. However, I do agree that Amanda was not N, because I don't think the negative SPV or the jealousy was that forced. I think the viewers were suppose to be more sympathetic with Amanda in the sense that Ozzy is being shown as the "playa". She has a valid reason to be upset, but she's not P because yeah she is being shown a bitter. Neutral. MOR3. Eliminated episode 1.

The main part in the episode where I think she warranted an N was when this happened" --- Parvati conf: Eliza is just being ridiculous. scene cuts to Parvati giggling histerically with Amanda Parvati: Oh my pickle! I alligned us with everyone. I'll just go make one with Jason! LOLerskates!! Amanda conf: It's not funny! tear dropz --- Parvati was shown as being "ridiculous", so her confessional kind of contradicted herself. Also the overjoyous, borderline-arrogance about how Eliza is going and she's so happy (and manipulated outburst at Eliza at TC) kind of made her out to be a bully. Last episode, it was business. She was neutral. This episode, there was doubt about her character and she was overzealous. She was N. This was the episode that Parvati finally snaked her rival. I think it makes sense for her to get an N. However, if she begins to get a string of Ns, then I'm going to be a little bit worried. I think she's going to remain fairly static or a little while now, and will become more complex now that she has so many alliances. More confessionals like "I'm in such a hot pickle! Who do I vote off?" than "I hate him so bye!!!". Well, she does think Jason is a loser, so when the time comes for him she may be N. Hope that helps!

Alexis - CP4 (She was all over the strategy discussion and commenting on the new game. She also did well analyzing the psychology of Survivor) Amanda - CP3 (There was some negativity with her jealousy and some positivity in the pickle Parvati put her in, but not enough to move her from neutral.) Cirie - MORN2 (Her snarky comments are usually funny, but felt negative today. Her "visitors grabbing the remote control", and all of her sour faces watching events around her felt negative) Eliza - CPM5 (I want to go positive here, but her paranoia (even justified) was negative) Erik - UTR2 (This one is a guess as I barely remember him this episode) James - OTTP1 (He is his usual self, but he came off positive in this episode. "How often do you get a chance to eat bat?" He is getting all of the experience and joy Survivor can bring...too bad he isn't playing the game.) Jason - MORM4 (His defeat of Ozzy was positive. Can't fault the guy for being so excited. The dumb guy with the stick part was definitely negative.) Natalie - UTR1 (Can we stop with the "Natalie wins" jokes now? It has lost its humor value.) Ozzy - MOR3 (Not sure what to say about him. Watching his sad face when he lost the challenge was fun.) Parvati - CPN4 (Changing this from what I had before. Parvati's pickle was cute, but what she did to Amanda is worth an N. The lack of contrition makes it an N as well.) The Eliza "It's a fucking stick" scenes were classic. If I wasn't a fan of hers before, I am now. The fake idol reveal was a lot fun too. Eliza calling Ozzy out and Ozzy joking that it took him a long time to make the idol were great Survivor moments. Jason- OTT4 (...while dopey music, cluelessness, and useless confessionals do) Natalie- UTR1 (just enough) Ozzy- MOR3 Parvati- CPN4 Eliza- CPP5 (I'm tempted to go with the same OTT as her partner Jason, but she had the CP confessionals to avoid that. I could see mixed, but I think we were really supposed to be rooting for her from the start of the episode. I wouldn't mind mixed, though, if that's how it ended up.) Winners: 1. Parvati 2. The first thing we see post-intro in ep8: Cirie and Ami hunting crabs, in what seems to be a completely unnecessary and random scene. I propose, however, that Cirie and Ami become closely associated with crabs, and so in a sense, Cirie and Ami are hunting themselves. Indeed, Ami's overscheming in previous episodes proved to be her downfall, and so she succeeded in "hunting herself." (not to mention the fact that crabs are often known for burying themselves in the sand) Now, the first post-intro Malakal scene of episode 9, we see: ... followed by... So it seems we're still perhaps supposed to be associating Cirie with the crab. We have already seen her "hunting herself," so like Ami, will Cirie's past and/or present scheming be her eventual downfall? Will Cirie, too, "bury herself?" That should have tipped me off that, like Yau-Man, there was no chance of the butterfly's escape. In hind sight, Ep4 told us that Eliza was going to die. Oddly, when Eliza's boot came, Cirie's edit was very passive. She said after talking with Amanda about booting Alexis, that she'd vote for anyone that moved her ahead in the game. p.s.: Hasn't anyone heard the phrase for a sun-warmed lake or pool as "warm as piss?" Maybe it's just us backwoods sorts that use that kinda line. Lol.

It tipped me off that she would probably win. Even if your winner goes through the whole game smooth sailing, you at least want to edit it that they are in danger -drama 101. I just find the whole thing really odd. Eliza could have been set up as too talkative and annoying, but through most of the episodes she was presented as observant and plucky and in peril. This was a bad payoff. Again, I hate reality tv. The winner is either Cirie (which would be great) or Parvati. These fans are really bad players. (I was really hoping for a Cire/Eliza final) I'm bitter -sue me.

You won't find someone who enjoys playing the game more than she does. Why would that tip you off? It tipped me off that she would probably win. I think I said "in hindsight". In both Yau-Man's ep and Eliza's ep4, they used the same shot of butterfly and spider. Both were associated with Cirie. If the first one represented a player who's been killed off, it stands to reason that using the exact same scene represents the same thing, certain death. But, hindsight is useless, wussy crap in Edgic. :P (And Cirie was edited as not having anything active to do with Eliza's boot. So, I hate reality shows too!!)

No, I understand, and it's all in hindsight -but I still say its quite the opposite. They used the same metaphor of the spider -but wherein Yau Man's the prey was being eaten, in the next episode the prey wasn't- just stuck. So for dramatic reasons, I thought it was a clever way of her escaping death -she did afterall get saved by immunity and then the switch. I'm coming to the realization though the animal imagery is really only used for the current episode. This all stems back from that damn Kangaroo escaping the flood (Rodger or Lis won season two? I can't remember) I thank my lucky stars Colleen didn't do All-stars- she either would have been made into a chump if she lost, or faced a lot of animosity if she won.

Question 1 for Alexis re: strengths She says there are three skills that define strength - The social game The physical game The mental game The merge allowed her to see the entire competition. Opinion - the editing backs up her words on all counts Question 2 for Cirie re: Alexis' skills Cirie says Alexis is a triple threat with all three skills. Opinion - during the answer, Amanda looks to Ozzy who appears to be looking at Alexis. That storyline is being arranged carefully. Question 3 for Alexis re: being called a triple threat Alexis is not worried at this point in the game. That prompts disbelief from and But Alexis says that others are also threats and to make it this far you have to be mentally, physically and socially competitive, which gets an agreed headshake from Opinion - Amanda and Cirie don't think Alexis can see the big picture, but Parvati is aware she gets it. Question 4 for Alexis re: Eliza's skills Alexis says Eliza played a poor social game. Opinion - see the answer to Q5. Question 5 for Eliza re: Alexis' answer Eliza feels Alexis is correct, that her social game was lacking. Parvati agrees with a smirk. But Eliza warns that some players are playing short sighted And some may be overestimating their own social game. Opinion - is Alexis overestimating? Go to Question 6 Probst asks Ozzy about two sides to the social game. Probst says Some are good socially And some are bad socially Ozzy knows that taking a hated player is a way to win. James cuts in and agrees to take someone everyone hates, prompting an Eliza eyeroll. Opinion - Probst reaffirmed Alexis is good socially, and that Eliza isn't. Despite their words, James and Ozzy aren't following that advice. Question 7 for Eliza re: is she liked. Eliza says no. Parvati cuts in leading to their conflict. Parvati notably says she just can't be quiet anymore, which Alexis doesn't miss. Opinion - this was likely a slip of Parvati's demeanor in snaking her rival, but it was caught. I doubt she'll forget to be quiet again. Sly way to show Alexis seeing it though. Alexis gets those shots this time, not Cirie. Question 8 for Eliza re: no free rides. Eliza says she got herself in this mess. But players have lost by facing the best. "Yul be sorry" pastordice inc. So bring people you don't like And have a shot, plain and simple. Opinion - Eliza is spot on. Interesting to insert Cirie atop the people we "don't like". Intentional? Time to vote.
