i don't tip the people who hand me my take-out order at a restaurant. despite their manipulative and prominently placed tip jar.

I just don't see how you would tip the Jiffy Lube guy, as you really only see the person who works on your car at the very beginning of the process.

I only tip car washers when they actual detail my car. If they run it through the wash with the yellow/pink/blue foam and towel dry my car, they aren't
tipped.
Sackers at grocery stores are tipped if they take it to my car and load it up. |

Hairdressers, manicurists and pedicurists, waiters, tour guides on vacation (15 to 20% depending on how good they were and how poor/rich I am at the time) coat
check people (a buck a coat), Blackjack dealer-if you make out well on a hand it's nice to push a chip or two to the dealer; Valet parking-1 or 2 bucks
when he gives me the keys; Maids at hotels; two to three bucks per each day I stayed. Food delivery people-10 % of the bill, more if it's really cold or
raining. Cab drivers, a dollar or two, more if it's a long drive.
Yes, you should tip the usher at the stadium a couple of bucks for showing you to your seat imo. None of this applies if the tippee is an asshole--then they're gonna get nuttin'.

they don't make shit for money, they live on the tips. unfortunately they are pooled and they all get a cut, so the crappy dealers benefit from the good
ones.

I use to tip almost every one from gas attendants to the garbage man when I lived back east. Now mostly the waitress-hair stylist-garbage men and such. I pick
up my own mail - pump my own gas and there is no delivery here.
