Apples and oranges.
Anyway, hopefully Kristy can keep her impressive streak going next week. I want her to make final 6 at least.

Melinda was Melinda. David is David.

Probsty has all explained that a thousand times and he's right. Melinda didn't make the F2 because she didn't appeal to the tweens like Jordin and
Blake did. Archie doesn't have that problem.

I think the "curse" will be broken and the F2 won't have performed in the same slot in the Top 24.

SHC is right (We really are becoming twinsies lately, it's scary
Now I don't see anyone who looks like a really strong contender to challenge Archie. I think the other final 2 spot is up for grabs, but I'd still say a David vs David finale is most likely. David vs Brooke could also happen, even though Brooke is in a slump. Carly might be able to last a few more weeks, but two bottom 3 appearances already is not a good thing at all. Jason is the wild card. I have no idea where he'll finish. Anywhere from final 2 to 7th place is possible. |

I hope so, Brooke has been going down for me (get your mind out of the gutter) week to week, and i've obviously never liked Archuleta. A Carly/Cook F2
would definitely be the most suitable just in terms of raw talent.

My unofficial predictions:
7th place - Syesha 6th place - Carly 5th place - Kristy 4th place - Jason 3rd place - Brooke Final 2 - David vs David |

Carly might be able to last a few more weeks, but two bottom 3 appearances already is not a good thing at all.If we're talking bottom 3 appearances though she could still easily make Top 2. Diana was in the bottom 3 like 40 times in the beginning and still managed to beat out La Toya for Top 2. |

I'd hope she wins just so we can eliminate all arguements that so-and-so can't win because they've been in the bottom too many times. CI winners
(minus Kalan) have been placed in the bottom 3 at least a couple of times. It's starting to turn into Edgic in here.

I honestly think this is a very different season and we're not going to be able to predict the boots that well anymore.
I still don't think Carly can win but frankly I would love to see it happen. Obviously it only can if somewhere along the line Archuleta gets the boot which is the only unlikely possibility this season. |

There's one simple reason Carly can't win (and Kristy theoretically could)...the South.
You can't win American Idol without the Southern vote. That has been proven time and time again. |

I take it the Irish-Americans don't live in the South.
It would be funny to see another one with the Southern support win though, especially if it was Kristy. |

Kristy is like Jason. She could go next week or make final 2.
At least it keeps things interesting. This season was about as exciting as dry toast a couple of weeks ago. Now at least there's some excitement. |

True. They're both wildcards, I think Brooke is too. I used to think she was a sure thing for the end game but now I think she could go next week or to the
F2.

Unless Brooke pulls herself together I think she will go next week, or right after Syesha and/or Carly. She comes across as very unstable right now and mental
instability is not something people love to watch on the reality voting shows. I always use the Tatum O'Neal example. On DWTS she "jokingly"
slapped her partner in the face in rehearsal and said about 500 times to the camera that she was an actress, not a dancer. She was gone the next night.

It would be funny to see another one with the Southern support win though, especially if it was Kristy. Despite the fact that she lives in Oregon.

ProbstFan123 wrote: Fantasia was in it twice, so stfu :) That doesn't mean they won't be final 2 either. Diana, Kat, and Blake were bottom a lot. Kat & Diana were both bottom very early on as well. The last three winners were never bottom 3/2 at any point in the competition. So I am thinking this year the winner may be there once or twice. Notice that all of the white winners (and Clay) were never bottom 3/2 but both of the black winners were. Also, Ruben performed first and won a very narrow vote. yw There's one simple reason Carly can't win (and Kristy theoretically could)...the South. Then why did Jordin win? Arizona is not the fucking south, that would be the west. I think Kristy could win if we are basing it on the south. She has the demographic appeal that appeals to all the farmers, christians, and conservatives. I can definately see the arguement against Carly though. Unlike all of these other hos, Kristy is PURE American. Made In America baby!
