I'm not going to hate on Porky this week because at least his father had the good sense to pick a good song for once.
Do you think this poor kid gets any say in any decision in his life? Sometimes I look at him and he looks so lost, so very very lost. Like he was allowed to leave his locked room for one hour a day, and he looks around, and he sees all the pretty flowers, but they are strange to him. I'll bet his father wraps him in velvet and puts him away on the top shelf when they get home. |

Did Devil Child really act like he's never heard this song???From the pieces I remember, he said he had a hard time choosing between inspirational songs and he saw "Angels". He didn't specifically say he'd never heard of the song, so I guess it could go either way. The performance seemed very listless. There's nothing inspirational about a boy who acts like the walking dead. The only time he seemed happy was when the cheering went on and on, and he genuinely smiled for about a second before he put the mask back on. |

David A has been the most consistent performer on Idol this year. Aside from the "We Can Work It Out" trainwreck, he's been consistently...OK.
Never great, probably never very good. Just OK. He has a good voice (sometimes well hidden) but he's also got a deadness and lack of energy that I
certainly don't expect from a (supposedly) 17 year old. Like he's been doing this way too long. It's probably his dad's fault for pushing him
too hard. Anybody else notice that his dad looks just like Danny Bonaduce?

sadly this facade could play out quite well for Pork Chop.... Look how well Carrie's farmgirl schtick worked out for her! She pretended to be a lamb in
the big bad city of LA....(Ryan to Carrie: Seen any stars since you've been here? Carrie: "No it's been pretty cloudy")..... they neglected
to share the fact that Carrie had been touring with a band doing fairs and festivals and had actually had a deal when she was 14 or 15 years old, albeit no
album was produced.....they made her sound plucked from the farm and now look at her.... she's one of the biggest country music stars around and certainly
the biggest star out of Idol in the U.S.!
There is a method to the madness.. AI continues to try to recapture the innocence of season 1, when the contestants REALLY didn't know what they fuck was going on.... it always falls flat and with this new age of youtube and internet blogs the disingenuous bullshit being spewed by the likes of devil child makes it all the harder to swallow. |

I'm still confident Archuleta is toast when it comes to the F2. Idol fans are bitter and crazy. Now matter who Archuleta is up against in the F2 they are
going to win by default. All the hardcore fans who's favourites were tossed aside in favourite of Archie are going to jump at the chance to stick it to
Archuleta and TPTB and vote for the other person to win.

I think that's what it will come down to. Archuleta vs Someone, David C for the sake of this argument and Archuleta's fans on his side, Cook's on
his side and everyone else either deciding to vote against Archuleta and by default for Cook or just deciding not to vote. Obviously there will always be a few
people voting based on the performances for Top 2 night but by the end of this season I can't see that being very many.
