The irony of the Obama Pa statement is realy funny if you think about it. Obama the author of The Audacity of Hope downplaying the hope that their religion
gives the poor people in PA. Hill s irony in a Yaley calling a Harvard grad an elitist.

let some backwoods mountain folk decide who the next president will be. So fuck you, PA and die.

Kinda early for the angry negro card, don't you think?

Governor Rendell said it himself. Some white pennsylvanians will not vote for Obama because he's black. And he knows PA better than anyone.

I honestly think it is ridiculous to imagine that Pennsylvania and Ohio are "more racist" than other American states. What distinguishes them is
economics, pure and simple. Even Obama, in his San Francisco comment, highlighted that. What he didn't want to say is that the Clintons own economics as an
issue.

I am really bitter about Obamas statement.
I am not going to vote for Obama, but what he said is true. I dont blame economics and bad governement for it, I blame the religous leaders. |

Or people might have a real life an not let the letter next to the president's name affect them so much.

We can always hope that there are some rubes who think the (R) in the photo caption means they are on the right side of the picture.

"Laughing, the Illinois senator noted Clinton seemed much more interested in guns since he made his comments than she had been in the past. On Saturday,
the former first lady reminisced about learning to shoot on summer vacations in Scranton, where her father grew up.
"She is running around talking about how this is an insult to sportsmen, how she values the Second Amendment. She's talking like she's Annie Oakley," Obama said." WTF? |

lilnubber wrote: It's telling that W's approval rating approaches that of Truman's. Truman presided over a struggling economy, troubles in the Middle East (Israel and Pakistan were established under his watch), and a number of real or perceived scandals. He (figuratively) dropped "the" bombs, killing/maiming hundreds of thousands of civilians in pursuit of a greater good. I don't have to point out that he made an anti-Chamberlain stand against Communism. W is held accountable for many similar issues. Fact is, history has treated Truman very kindly (find me a ranking that puts him lower than 10th among all-time great PsOTUS.) Fact is, history will treat W very kindly as well. Not that he (or Truman, I can only assume) cares/cared about that sort of thing. |
