Whats wrong with a sci-fi show tackling religion? Its only one of the most powerful forces on planet Earth. I find BG's explorations into spirituality --
and the parallels to Christianity, Roman paganism and even Buddhism -- totally interesting and unique. I'm interpreting the Balthar messianic sub-plot to
be played as clearly somewhat comical.

I hope it isn't Gaeta or Dualla. Both of them are so...uninteresting. Someone mentioned that Dee doesn't do anything, but hell - Gaeta does even less
in my book. At least Dee had the Billy romance, followed by the Starbuck/Anders/Apollo/Dualla love story from hell. Gaeta basically had one eppy where he was
tortured for being Baltar's assistant, but yeesh. What the hell else has he done?
Regardless - as a viewer, both of them would be rather lackluster additions to the Cylon ranks. Although, either one of them would be a great choice from the Cylon perspective. They're both under-the-radar, high-ranking, trusted officers in the CIC. Still - I hope it ain't one of 'em.

in CIC. That's better than being a cylon, since only a few of them get any. Huh, I feel like Missy now...

The religion theme is something I've always found intriguing about this series. Particularly with montheistic toaster bad guys vs. polytheistic human good guys. Interesting touch. Baltar as a messiah had me squawking at the end of last season, too. Absoutely ludicrous. Fortunately, they're playing it to display what kooks his followers are rather than him actually being a messiah. |

I still think that the last Cylon is a person in the upper ranks of the ship...ok, its either Roslin or Adama.
Roslin - We do know that the Cylons are suceptible to human diseases. When she was injected with the hybrids baby blood, her body did not reject it, and in fact how did they know that it wouldn't? The "dreams" with Six & Athena = somethings up with that. Both religions of the Colonies & the Cylons point to a single person leading them to salvation. As for Adama, I have seen the synopsis for the ne Caprica series,, so I won't talk about them here. Needless to say, Adama is connected. |

Roselin's shared dreams with Caprica and Athena make me also think it could be her and that ehr group are leading pro-human. Possibly connected to the 13th
colony. I totally see Roselin as a Moses-type who will lead her people to the holy land but not be allowed to go herself (ie she'll die).

I like Roslin best as the final Cylon model. As several have mentioned, it would explain much of what's taken place to her (especially her
visions/memories of Baltar and Six together on Caprica).

The fact that Athena & Caprica are the only two cylon models that have become sympathetic to the humans also points to Roslin being a Cylon.

Good episode, although it felt a little slow moving in the beginning. I'm really pleased with this season, though. The longer this episode went on, the
more I liked it, to the point of having to post immediately. That never happens for me! Lee's scenes were nice. I hope Helo or Athena go with
Starbuck... I hope Helo gets a haricut. Tory taking one for the team & Head!Baltar!
The cylon scenes were awesome for a change. Cylon anarchy! I hope the centurions start talking in that old school cylon voice. The new Six is kind of a badass. At least we have all of the seven original cylons numbered now. (1-Cavill, 2-Leoben, 3-D'Anna, 4-Simon, 5-Doral, 6-Six, 8-Sharon.) Why aren't they numbered sequentially, though? Who's seven? The last unknown cylon? Loved the very end of the teaser for next week (same part as you, SK). Bwa ha ha! (edited again - oops - am mixing up dollhouse and bsg threads.)

Are the 1, 4, 5 models going to be boxed now? It makes no sense to kill them if they can just download.
Does this portend a return of model 3? I love the Natalie version of 6. She doesn't back down and such the badass. And I really want Helo to go with Starbuck. I love the dynamic between them. It does look like Sam is definitely onboard the Earth bound ship. |
