I guess I don't get what the "broadway" sound means. 99.9% of the performers on broadway could outsing any of the dreck I hear on the radio today. I guess it sounds "broadway" because you can understand the lyrics? This is 1 track on a CD with probably 12-13 tracks on it. Probably not the best lead off single (but I like it), but since Tedder wrote it, I suppose it had to be the first single. Who knows. Lover All Alone is on the CD and why it's not a single? I don't know, but at least his fans aren't getting covers again. That's probably not the right term. It's my way of describing a way of singing that I guess I tend to associate with Broadway. For instance when
Clay increases the volume on the notes his pitch seems to go lower or something, like he's trying to add something. It's a style I guess.
Those who CAN sing DO. Those who CAN'T sing scream. See Carrie U vs Yelly. Now piss off .That just shows me you don't really appreciate good rock 'n roll or even blues singers. Sometime the voice itself can describe emotions better than any lyrics, although that may also depend on the listeners. |

I say it is a perfect Olympic song for athlete spotlights. I hope they use it for the summer olympics. It does make a good AI coronation song too. However,
when I first heard it this morning.... my daughter's state gymnastics pics were posted this morning too and I immediately wanted to take these professional
shots and her state videos and some videos from practices leading up to state and make a montage out of it. The lyrics are perfect for sport's ups and
downs and gymnastics tops most other sports in this way. It is full of fear, challenges, strength, poise, balance, etc.

Hilarious coming from the most ardent fan of Yelly Screamer Clarkson.You completely missed her entire point. She never said anything was wrong with being able to hit the big notes. All she said was basically we know Carrie and Clay can sing it would be nice if occasionally they would tone it down and we could see them do a song more subtly. Yelly actually does do this quite often with stuff like "Beautiful Disaster" for one example. |

If you were more familiar with the hundreds of songs that Clay has recorded and/or performed you would know that he has done just that sort of understated and subtle arrangement many times. |

"Well your Idol yells so ha" isn't a response likely to go over well. |
