If you want naive and likable, you'll want Erik. Jason is like the retarded, deaf and poor man's Ozzy.

James & Ozzy will more than likely get stabbed in the back by their women Although that does sound promising, it would most likely mean that Parvati's mute bitches alliance goes to the final 4. I mean, a Parvati/Amanda/Clementine/Alexis final 4??? Are you fucking kidding me!? What will the editors do? Just shows us trees and random animal shots for the entire finale? |

Ozzy can break the alliance by winning enough immunities and you just know that Cirie and Eliza won't sit back and let that alliance dominate. Next episode it seems as though Eliza at least pulls Jason in. Cirie will quickly realize where she places when she sees Parvati being friendly with nearly everyone. |

Parvati would get all the airtime and it'd be the best finale ever <333
Seriously though, Amanda is much more interesting and visible on this season than China, but some of the people who run around complaining about how boring she is actually liked her last season. I. SO. DON'T. GET. IT. ~Sheila |

burnettfollower wrote:Whoever makes the ads at CBS partially set us up for this. The pre-show "preview" ads end with Jonathan, Fairplay, and Yau man saying "Bring it on." Preview 1 Preview 2 These are the only people that directly "talk to us" in the ad, and I think it suggests they play a major role. I'd expect maybe one to be a tease, but probably two or at least one of them to be major players in the story. Fairplay and Yau man were barely part of it. We did get some lovely Jonathan footage, but because his game ended for something beyond his control, I think none of these people are central to the main story of this season. Despite this and the loss of some of my favorite favorites and favorite fans, this is one of my favorite seasons. At least the vast majority of the people get that this is a game and are at least attempting to play it strategically. I was not a fan of ASS1. |

Even during the less entertaining seasons (Thailand takes the cake) I still love the show, so I still watch and enjoy it every week. That said, I do have a few
gripes about this season:
1. As far as casting for the fans, all the young women have been virtually neglected by the editors leaving us indifferent at best. Alexis & Natalie are more or less interchangeable and in a way so are Erik & Jason (both young w/shaggy hair). The only interesting fans were Joel, Chet, Tracy, and Kathy and Joel played like an idiot, Chet was a major let down, the editors made us like Tracy and then she got cut, and Kathy up and quits. 2. The fans were better cast IMO, but my only gripe would be Amanda. She seems like a nice girl, but she bored me in China and she bores me again this season. She always looks conflicted and helpless and is the antithesis of dynamic. 3. The editing/casting in general. I'm sorry, but if someone (i.e. Natalie) is really lame/boring enough that there's nothing substantial to show of her for 9 episodes, the casting people need to get with it. I suppose maybe she was good in interviews or on paper, but ended up a dud, but still, there's more than just here this season. And if she really is interesting, then the editors are really failing at spreading the footage more equally amongst all the players. Overall I think Fans vs Faves was an interesting experiment, but I think I'd rather have it be an all-new cast or all favorites from now on. |

That's fine. I can understand why people don't like her, but I can't understand people who loved her in China and now call her boring. Last season,
her fans would freak out over the littlest Amanda "moments" just because she hardly did anything. OMG she made bird calls! OMG her top fell down!
AMANDA LOVE <333
At least she's actually shown to be an active part in the strategy this season and has her love/hate relationship with Ozzy, then her Alexis rivalry starting next week. Remember that one preview in China that said Amanda was going to become a mastermind the next week, and then none of that even made the actual episode? |

Simply put, it's because her fans last season bought the fake spoiler they read and felt okay openly rooting for her because the really believed she was
going to win. All based off of bullshit. Now they know better.

However, I thought Chet was the biggest waste and I really would've liked to have seen what would've happened had he stayed and voted with Tracy and Erik. But, that didn't happen so now we'll see if Parvati has this thing wrapped up or if Amandazon will place in the final 3. |

I am okay with this season. It rocks. I have to many left to root for, and my motivation to keep on watching is to watch 10 out of these 10 awesome or clear or useful people not to crash and burn. These are the sole reasons to continue watching the rest of "Fans vs. Favs", as well as the reasons to keep returning to Survivor Sucks to read through fantastic threads with intelligent posting listing threads and brilliant photochops and talking about "Corby Archa" and oh man I just know all the newbies here are already wetting themselves at the prospect of 16 seasons being done, and with "16" being a nice whole number, we are in for months of funny threads of "Rank the 16 Winners / Runners Up / Seasons / Locations / Jeff Probst Hats / Logos". YESSSSSSS.

I'm still holding out hope for the season, mainly because I want to see the fake idol played by Jason only to have Probst laugh in his face. But I was glad
Fairplay went out first because I really didn't want to watch him and was probably going to ignore every second he was on.
I have to admit, though, the episodes since Jonathan's departure have lacked a spark, almost feels like a void within the show, and you can tell even within Airai a certain energy has gone from them despite continuing to kick Malakal's ass. As for Jonathan not playing a big role within this game, well I beg to differ. I don't think Kathy would've quit if Jonathan had stayed and that probably would've ended up being a very rewarding alliance, for one. And if this edition is as topsy-turvy in this second half as it supposedly is from various rumors, I'm not sure half the stuff that happens in Micronesia would've taken place at all if Penner had been around to deal with. At the very least, he would've been the one telling Squirrel Boy he's carrying a stick instead of an immunity idol. |

ASS had a good opener with Hatch biting a shark and Twatwaffle completely humiliating himself in front of twenty million people. Thailand was actually pretty
damn underrated pre-merge with Robb choking Clay, everyone laughing at Robb being stung, and Shii Ann's self-ownage. We know how those two ended up.
If all the entertainment leaves pre-merge, the post-merge game is going to fucking suck shit. Thailand and ASS had some great characters, but they all left early on and we were left with a bunch of boring personality-less fuckers who made us wish the season would fucking end so we could stop watching this stale boring shit. And yeah, I'd definitely argue that the first ten who left are much more entertaining than the remaining ten. Yeah, this season had good moments, but so did ASS and Thailand, and I still hate them overall. No telling how this season will end up, but I'm not liking the direction it's going so far. |

Jonathan may have left a void, but without Chet, there's just not as much to make fun of. Which sucks.
