Mariah mentoring on German Idol (aka Deutschland sucht den SUPERSTAR!) and OMFG, the contestants are TERRIBLE and sang her songs like it was kareoke night. Except she lied through her teeth and said she liked their singing. Seriously, they make KKKristy sound good. I wonder if the franchise is getting Mariah to mentor all over the world. By the time she gets to AI, she's gonna be so sick of hearing little squirts massacre her songs. I hope she's really bitchy. I hope she makes Archie cry. Now that would be entertaining. Oh, and Valentina would SO put everyone to shame. It's like Whitney's cover of IWALY. Nobody's ever gonna cover without you after Valentina. You can't compete with that. You've obviously never seen DSDS before. The contestants are all kareoke superstars on that show. The fucking Germans love them shitty albeit entertaining trainwrecks and even vote for them to win. That's the winner of the first season. I'm actually surprised Elli Erl and Tobias Regner won after that kareoke queen and Daniel K.

The build-up to it was good, but the actual night kind of bombed. The show lost a bit of its momentum this week, IMO. Sorry to see Michael Johns go, but it'll be interesting to find out what song he was going to sing in his boot interviews. It's pretty obvious that Carly, Syesha and David A. will have no problems with Mariah songs, but I'm not sure about the rest of them. It could go either way, depending on whether they can sing songs Mariah covered for her albums. The only one I can think of for David Cook is her cover of Def Leppard's "Bringin' On The Heartbreak."

On the other hand, maybe someone would top Leona's 'Without You' in levels of suckage. And of course, this week we'll hear Simon and Randy bitching about them choosing Mariah songs and being so far out of her league when it's fucking Mariah week.
