I think it largely has to do with everyone originally thinking the judges would rave over her and she'd be one of the pimpees -- now that she's the
underdog and has no fanbase, it's funny how hate usually is based on how popular the contestant is. Unless you want to call DominiqueChic power voting the
whole two hours a fanbase.

The ARE a few exceptions: 1) if a contestant considered unworthy keeps surviving the bottom 3 and outlasts "better" singers (Nikki, Scott Savol,
Haley Scarlato, KKKristy) people will hate them even though they have zero chance of winning. 2) If a contestant just flat-out sucks, people will hate them
regardless (Corey, Leah, Fatt, Mantasia, Mikelah, Kevin). David Archuleta does follow the rule, though. He's a nice kid with a nice voice who has inspired
hatred above and beyond his shortcomings (too immature to sing a lot of the songs convincingly, forgotten lyrics, looks 5 years younger than he is) because
he's the favorite to win.

I'm so conflicted. I don't know who I'd rather see in the final 2 with Archuleta...Michael Johns or David Cook.
Hopefully they'll all be in the final 3 together. |

From someone who knows Archuleta really well.....
"No he doesn't really use the word pretty a lot. Sometimes he'll say cute but not much. He's just really behind in the dating/kissing department. It's kind of cute, but he's not all that mature yet when it comes to that stuff. He's still likes playing with video games and pokemon, and his neopets. He loves to go online and build neopets. He also really loves animals, and he plays with his turtle a lot. He has a turtle who lives in his bathtub half of the time because he feels sorry for it lol. He's not a normal kid in any way. He also swims with his clothes on. So when it comes to girls, he's so far from that still. I know that sounds silly at his age but he's really innocent and still not emotionally 17 sometimes."
