i've heard both sides from my muslim friends:
Probama: He's muslim, even if not he'll understand us better, he is pro-palestine, anti-iraq, hillary shouldn't rule because the quran and muhammad clearly says that men should be the ones taking the highest office not women, and mccain hates islam so obama's the best choice. Antibama: He's an apostate, he'll bomb pakistan, he's distanced himself from all muslims when the rumors came out, instead of saying "so what". |

how weird is to read a fanatic's diatribe while looking at a picture of the guy who imagined no religion?First off, I just wanted to know what's so "hateful" about religious conviction. Secondly, "Imagine" is one of the silliest songs ever. Thirdly, I can't find a new avatar I like. Religious faith doesn't piss me off. What pisses me off is the smug belief, completely unsubstantiated by any facts whatsoever, that YOU are right and everyone else is wrong. Most religious people I know do not subscribe to this bullshit newsletter, though apparently you do.Take out the last four words and we don't have a problem here except maybe you should read my posts slower. I am a religious person. I believe in God based on my personal experiences. I don't get into the "I'm right, you're wrong" business, because it's a stupid argument. If it makes me "smug" to have beliefs that are not in line with the beliefs of others, so be it. I respect your right and your decision to exercise whatever religion you choose, including athiesm. Would you mind extending me the same courtesy? |

besides whitey and Jews, Obama also hates gays:

Clearly, the one candidate who is notorious for not doing interviews hates gays because he surprise, won't do an interview with the gay mag. Harp on him
for avoiding the media, instead of making up yer brand of crazy bullshit.

Direct from Philadelphia Gay News
http://www.epgn.com/ In these months, an alliance of LGBT papers sought to speak with the top three contenders - Clinton, Obama and former Sen. John Edwards - to no avail. Now, with the delegate spread hovering around 150, smaller constituencies, including the LGBT community and their superdelegates, are playing a larger role. PGN invited both Clinton and Obama, as well as presumptive Republican candidate John McCain, to speak with us. Only Clinton granted an interview. |

Face it, neither of them are likely to do anything significant for gay rights. If I hear them talking about getting DOMA repealed, then I'll be impressed.

What kind of religious people would they BE if they didn't BELIEVE they were RIGHT? Why does it PISS YOU OFF so bad that people happen to have religious faith? What do you care if they think you are going to hell? If you don't believe in religion, you don't believe in hell. So WHAT THE FUCK DOES IT MATTER? Seriously. I don't get into the "I'm right, you're wrong" business, because it's a stupid argument.Jeez, candi, forgive me for my confusion on your viewpoints. And P.S. You keep assuming that I'm an atheist for some reason. I'm not. |
