The book sucked! I'm surprised how many of you actually thought it was a good book.

It also talks, which would be cheesy.Only if it said "FEED ME, AMIGOS!" |

I've not read that one, though it seems like a relatively small/low budget flick.

Has anyone seen Hatchet? Pretty funny horror flick. More comedic than anything else , but worth a rental.

You guys are kidding about the trailer looking good, right? The trailer made me laugh because it was so badly done.
I enjoyed the book quite a bit, just because it was sort of a different take on this kind of situation. It's not often one sees a book about carnivorous plants. And the plant talking in the book was hella creepy, I don't care what anyone says. Probably wouldn't translate well to the screen. One thing I liked about the book was that it really didn't have a lot of "jump" scares - it was more of a low-grade feeling of terror and hopelessness that stayed from the time they went up the hill, onward. So the movie will probably suck, yeah. |

Yeah I don't know if the mood or feelings the book evoked for me would be transferable to the big screen. But i'll still check it out. I wonder how the
leg amputation scenes are gonna be

Absolutely love Jonathan Tucker from the Black Donnelleys. Not such a big fan of scary movies though. I'll probably skip it.

Oh my dayum. I'm reading this book. right now. And nowhere on the cover did it mention words like "major motion picture" or
"theater near you".
Now I will have to stop reading the book until after I see the movie, because reading the book first almost always ruins the movie. And it's the only book I have that I haven't already read. *cries* |

And if it is a true story - it makes it even more creepier. I will have to watch that one at home. I don't do well with horror films and will most likely
scream.

The amputation scenes are supposed to be intense - the film doesn't hold back on gore, yet if it's anything like that book, it isn't there to be
gratuitous, but more so to further the plot and continue the story.
And Katja, they've changed several things from the novel to the film, so it won't be entirely ruined for you. |

I just started the book so I'll probably have to wait till dvd to see the movie. I'm just glad to see a horror movie that actually isn't a remake
of a japanese original.

Of course, they had to go and fuck with the real ending. Surely it will debut at number 6, and float off the chart in about 3 weeks and resurface on DVD by
May.

I did see the short film the director did about some bugs that people put under their skin to achieve a sort of sexual euphoria. Creepy as hell but very well
acted and directed. Sort of had homosexual overtones. Despite being well done it left me feeling uneasy and creeped out so I don't know that I would
recommend it.
