1. Jason- It's a crime that he didn't receive more credit for this, because it struck me as one the most moving in the competition so far. I haven't enjoyed many of his performances at all, but this was great. He seemed like a real artist tonight.

2. Michael- I'm starting to like Michael a lot

3. Syesha- Gotta give credit where credit is due. I fully expected to hate this, and I agree that 90% of the time she comes across as a fake bitch, but this was awesome during the first 3/4. I don't really like her higher register it sounds mechanical and sharp, so I agree that toward the end she lost me a bit. I don't she why she has to be the next diva. Look at singers like Corinne Bailey Rae, and everyone seems to agree that her best performance so far was Yesterday.

4. Archuleta- hmmm... he's a good singer but he's so cookie cutter. He needs to show some edge. I don't know why, but I don't like him at all. I can't imagine someone would actually go out and buy his cd. Honestly, I think the fact that he's male gives him an advantage, because otherwise Ramielle would be doing just as well in the polls. They're basically the same person.

5. Cook- this was underwhelming for me. Like Brooke, he chose the right song, but he failed in executing. It was good, but I guess I just had too high of expectations because I just felt dissapointed afterward.

6. Brooke- Like last week this song had so much potential, but she just didn't execute it right. When you you don't rely on your voice you really have to nail the other aspects (accompaniment, presentation, emotion). Last week the band ruined a potential home run. This week she was smiling all throughout Jolene?! I think a solo guitar Coat of Many Colors would have been a better choice, but then again if she'd had just committed to Jolene it could have been awesome.

7. Carly- I loved Total Eclipse of the Heart, but I admit she seemed stiff. Tonight she still seemed stiff but I didn't like her performance either. She's starting to lose my support.

8. Kristy- I have no idea why she didn't sing When I Get Where I'm Going. I think that would have given her huge momentum. This is a very simple song and she was still vocally week. I find it oddly fascinating to watch how long she can last with her gimmicks, but tonight while her choice was good, there were others that would have been better strategically.

9. Ramielle- this was pretty bad. she's just bleh. I think she is a good singer in general however.

I think Carly and Ramielle are going to be the bottom 2. Tonight was all about Jason/Michael for me. Syesha was a pleasant surprise. Everyone else disappointed.
