1. Syesha - I thought the judges were really unfair in their appraisal tonight...and I'm not that big of a Syesha fan. I think it was a strong
performance.
2. Castro - I know...weird. I don't like him at all, but there was something about his performance tonight that really appealed to me. 3. Archuleta - Boring song, strong performance. 4. Cook - Definitely liked it...I like it better when he's power rocker. 5. Michael - A different sound for the night... 6. Brooke - I liked it, but she's never going to have a "strong" voice. 7. Carly - Strong vocals...but damn, it was boring. 8. Kristy - Meh. 9. Ramielle - Poor girl...in over her head. Brain - Carly, Kristy, Ramielle...with Ramielle going home. Heart - Carly, Kristy, Ramielle...with Ramielle going home. Gut - Syesha, Brooke, Ramielle...with Ramielle going home. |

Really good night. Dolly Parton is one damn good songwriter.
The Best: 1. Breathy Manboy - He. Made. Me. Cry. 2. Kristy Lee Cook - she sang with genuine emotion and sounded really great; her best performance to date 3. Irish Girl - excellent performance but came off as a little overconfident (like she just KNEW she was that good) 4. Syesha - she sang Whitney and was actually pretty good (better than Simon gave her credit for) 5. Brooke White - good, albeit a little rushed and predictable 6. Rockerboy - starting to look like a one trick pony; always sounds the same 7. Aussiebum - despite all the judge pimpage, I just didn't feel it And the just okay... 8. Dreds - his best performance to date was still 8th place of the night; he needs to travel on through to the bottom three. 9. Ramiele - boring and utterly forgetable Brain: Ramiele, Dreds, Aussiebum Heart: Dreds, Ramiele, Rockerboy Gut: Dreds, Ramiele, Syesha |

1. Michael - who wudda thunk he'd deserve the pimp spot on country week? Excellent.
2. Carly - what does she have to do to get praise from Randy and Simon? Apparently hitting every note flawlessly and emoting while doing it isn't enough. 3. David C. - very good and thank God they fixed his hair. He looks way better now. 4. David A. - much better song choice. Beautiful vocals, but a little shaky. 5. Brooke - decent. 6. Syesha - almost as decent as Brooke. 7. Kristy - should have been awesome on country night. Just OK. 8. Jason - lackluster. 9. Ramiele - what the hell happened to her? 1. Cook (loved this arrangement; love the tone to his vocals)
2. Brooke (no wow factor but so likeable) 3. Michael (finally a good overall performance for him) 4. David A. (don't care for him personally but he hit the notes well tonight) 5. Carly (enjoy her singing when I listen but don't watch her sing) 6. Kristy (could have fair country success but doesn't have the great vocals (see Underwood) or the personality (see Pickler) 7. 1. (tie) David C. and Michael Johns - I was going to give this to Cook based on vocal preference, but I can't let Michael's performance go
3. Kristy Lee Cook - God help me, I bought that song from her. 4. Jason - Sounded like a standard Christian pop singer (which I really don't mind so much) 5. Syesha - would have been higher except for the end 6. Brooke - I liked it, but it slid down the list as the night progressed 7. Porkchop - was pretty good tonight. if he was on last season, I probably would have at least begrudgingly liked the little shithead 8. Ramiele - overshadowed by everyone else 9. Carly - I guess I just don't get this chick unless she's singing Heart. BHG: Ramiele - Sorry. girl. You're cute, but kinda getting boring. |
