melicats, the question was not "FIRST ____"", it was "UNIQUE _____". There are dozens more things we could say for "first
____", but the question was what seasons had the ONLY instance of [whatever].

Actually...wasn't there a double tribal council in PI? Though it wasn't "forced" technically.

Uniquenesses...
Season 6 is the only season to ever have someone give away their immunity at TC (and put themselves at risk doing so). Jenna gave to Heidi in a successful strategic move and yes... Borneo did have a merge buff... although S10 did not... S10 Palau did not technically have a merge... Stephanie was "absorbed" into Koror and given a Koror buff. The group did not get new buffs nor did they get to choose a new name (which makes this unique... all other seasons had a new merge name and new buff) ETA: added the disclaimer to the original statement (in brackets)

I do know what you were getting at Francois. You were going for the only time ceratin things had happened. And while you're talking about the previous 15 seasons there's no way until Survivor ends if your unique events will stay unique or if we'll see it happen again, which would then make it a 'first'.Well, I was not the one who first posted the question :) And yes, I 'm aware that any forthcoming season, or even the current one, could "nullify" some of the items we've mentioned above...but they are true as of now. |

Jenna actually took a risk in giving up immunity... there was a chance (even if it was small) that this could backfire on her and she could have been voted out. And this makes it still the only time that this has happened. |

Phoenix1269 wrote: Then you should rephrase it so it says "who gave up immunity at a tribal council where the giver needed immunity too" or something. As it is, many people have given immunity at TC..and two were post merge..Jenna and Burton to Heidi and Rupert respectively. Both Burton and Jenna's immunity gives should couunt the way you phrased your statement. John K, Rafe, and Koror could also be included if you count pre merge. |

Yeah I know Burton already had immunity because of the outcast twist. But that doesn't mean he couldn't keep his immunity "sword" and leave
everyone vulnerable. He potentially "exposed" one of his side deals by giving it to Rupert. There are consequences to it.

Then you should rephrase it so it says "who gave up immunity at a tribal council where the giver needed immunity too"Actually, though, Jenna was the only one who truly "gave UP Immunity". Burton had it already, and the others (John K etc) didn't "have it" to keep, just to bestowe on someone else. Jenna was the only one who made herself vulnerable by giving up Immunity. |
