For those of you that have bought seasons on iOffer, can you recommend a good seller? Did the episodes look like they were burned from the original airings or
the OLN repeats? What about extras/menus/whatnot, anyone had any really good experiences buying Survivor seasons on there?

I have imported all the available boxsets from the US to Australia - They dont have any of them out here. Every season comes out months behind the US on our TV
meaning if we dont watch on the net we cannot go onto ANY survivor website for 3 months, the timeslot is changed for every new season, and now I am to learn
from this website that I am unlikely to get any new boxsets in the foreseeable future to get me through the survivor drought..... oh what am I to do ?????

It blows my mind...with all the Steph/BJ hooplah for their Guatemala return I thought for sure we'd get a release right after that season...didn't
happen...and now with Penner, Ozzy and Parvati playing such big roles in FVF...why do they not release them while it's hot?? Throw those three on the
cover, they're recognizable and popular...people will buy them...and for EI not to be released?? After the popularity it had what with Cirie and Shane??
It's craziness...

The bottom line is that if sales figures aren't good, companies usually stop making said product. While Survivor may be the "best selling reality
DVD" ever released, that can't be saying too much. If the DVDs were profitable for CBS and Paramount, we'd get more released.
Unfortunatly, I think the days of Survivor on DVD are over. Perhaps in 20 or 30 years they'll get released on the preferred medium of the time because it will be a nostalgia thing, but for now I think we're done. Obviously they weren't as successful as CBS thought they'd be. At least we got 5 seasons. I wish we could have every single one of them like all of you, but a few years ago we didn't have any and had no hope of ever having any. So I'm thankful at least for what we've got. |

Hey PKFA,
I bought burnt Survivor DVDs on ioffer.com from harleybarbiegirl. The quality is ok (not as good as factory release, but i wouldn't expect it to be), but this seller adds all the Survivor appearances on The Early Show and little extra's like that... I've also bought some good quality Mole DVD's from falcon213, and he also sells Survivor |

Actually we got 6 seasons.
Not the best ones though. The fact that Vanuatu got released before any of 3-6 is an atrocity. |

I'll agree with what beatles said, if we are going to see anymore DVD's before releases from 30 to 40 years from now then CBS would need to give the
rights to a smaller company where the sales for the first few seasons would actually be decent.
I'm sure Survivor didn't get anywhere near what any of the CSIs get. So it was a disappointment. To a smaller company I'm sure it would not be at all. |

So everybody go out and buy whatever seasons you haven't because you 'didn't like that season'...everyone keeps posting they never bought this
one and that one and then bitch we haven't had more come out...makes no sense...

I'm fairly sure that they'll release Micronesia on DVD. All-Stars was DVD-worthy, so pitting fans against the favorites should be too. Survivor rakes in about 14 million viewers per episode, which has dropped a lot since the 54 million in Borneo, but I think that's still a quite large number.

i think to put seasons out like africa or marquesas would be a good idea...its been so long since they aired that people might be interested in viewing them
again.

I am fairly new to Survivor and I just bought Borneo and Outback on DVD and was totally bummed when I found out that all the seasons weren't available. I
would absolutely buy them all if they were available.

I think the problem with the older seasons is that they never planned on releasing them on DVD, so they never prepared any extras or commentary as they were
making them. It's hard to go back and create extras. And it's hard to get cast members back to do commentaries 5-6 years after the fact.

Hm, for those that use iOffer (since I'm thinking of getting the rest of South Africa: Malaysia, the UK ones, and the Australian one), is there a certain
seller on there that you'd recommend who has them cheap, but with good quality?

Can you believe it...even Flavor Of Love's THIRD season is going directly to DVD but no Survivor...???Craziness...most ppl don't even KNOW New York got
her own show and they're both out already too...immediately...I just don't understand the criteria they follow with these releases...
