I loved that, but I still kinda hate him. Darn it.

How fucking smart and brave can he be if it's not even an original arrangement?

I'm going to be so disgusted when David Cook gets beaten by David Archuleta.
And every single person on this show is singing someone else's version of someone else's song. |

Can someone explain why that was a risky song choice for David?

Even if he owes a tip o' the hat to Cornell's version, I like David Cook and am rooting for him.

Dude... if he sings it the "original" way he's copying MJ, if not he's copying anyone else who ever did a "different version"? He
was good. He was very good. [taylor] deal with it[/taylor]

I thought it was fantastic, and for the first time think he actually has a chance to win.

If I never heard the Chris Cornell version I'd have thought that was bloody brilliant. Regardless, Cook was still best of the night - by far.
Americans love "We are the Champions" so Aussie Johns is safe, and Kristy Lee Cook cleverly bought herself another week. Some might hate on her, but I don't think she has any illusions that she is going to win, so I can laugh with her. Carly was better than the judges gave her credit for, and Syesha should be safe as well. Those in any danger are Brooke(though very likely safe), Archuleta (reminded me of a christian rocker type), Chikeze, Castro and Ramiele. I think one of Chikezeor Castro are goners with KLC pulling her fast one. |

BTW, I love that Carly sucked big time tonightYet another lemming following everything that Simon and Randy said. If they said she kicked ass, you wouldn't be saying this. Funny how so many people want to do and vote the opposite of what Simon says yet almost everyone here votes and rates based on what they say. Great job with having a mind of your own! |

Wow... I've never really been too keen on David Cook-- to me, he's always been a second-rate Chris Daughtry. But tonight... that was at least as good
as anything CD ever did on idol. Right up there with "I Walk The Line" and "Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman." I am impressed-- quite
possibly the best performance this year, and there have been some great ones.
I must say Michael also impressed me. Second best of the night. I know this is Sucks and all, but I enjoyed tonight's show immensely! (except... go home, Ramiele. go home.) |

I definitely have a mind of my own and am highly opinionated...and I think Carly sucks. She almost never sounds good to me, although I actually did kinda like
her "Blackbird". But that's the only time I thought she sounded decent all season.
I never listen to the judge's opinions, anyway. I think they all have their biases, just as we all do, and nothing they say changes my mind. If I liked how it sounded, they can call it karaoke or cabaret or boring and I could give a shit. |

Can someone explain why that was a risky song choice for David? I wanna know the same thing. He sings rock covers of everything. We know he can sing rock. Him singing a rock version of the song isn't risky for him. If he sang the original, now that would have been risky. |

Well, I'm not so sure many people may even be familiar with the Cornell arrangement. I'd never heard it until earlier today. Had I not known someone
else had already done it that way I would have thought it a truly unique arrangement.
