I love Parker Posey as I mentioned earlier in the thread, but after watching those two episodes... Boy, does it suck. First off, the obtrusive laugh track was
horribly tacked on, like it was a last minute desperate move to show "Hey look! It's funny!". And second, the show is not funny enough to warrant
a laugh track. If they had kept it laughless, they could have possibly sold it as a dramady. I love Lauren Ambrose as well and thought she played her part
perfectly for a dramady. Parker Posey, however, played her character way OTT for the material. Speaking of which, the material was high on long scenes of
talkiness and low on humor. Not a good sign for a sitcom.
No surprise, it was the least watched show of the night. I can't see how this is going to last long at all. |

I couldnt watch after five minutes because of the AWFUL laugh track. Talk about ruining a show with something that could be easily taken out.

I actually might've enjoyed it without the laugh track. Instead, I didn't make it halfway through the first episode.

I was doing dishes, so I couldn't much hear the laugh-track and it didn't bother me. I also couldn't hear much of the lame dialogue, so that
didn't bother me either.
All in all, I got a full load of dishes done. (I admit to having had higher hopes for this show, though) |

Never underestimate the ability of bad tv to improve the quality of domestic life! |

If the show weren't on Friday and if it weren't on Fox and if it didn't get death knell ratings and if Amy Sherman-Palladino wasn't declining
interview requests I might be inclined to write a post about how the show has promise (with Ambrose and Posey, of course it does) and that the rough,
over-caffeinated acting in the first two eps is common to a lot of shows. I would probably even post about how it couldn't hurt to stick with the show
because with all the talent involved it can only get better. Hell, I might have even quoted two or three of the funniest lines.
But no. |

I couldn't keep my eyes off of Parker Posey's beehind.
One of the best shows ever. Four Stars. |

I'm sure everyone who still remembers that this show ever existed will be SHOCKED to learn it's been cancelled.

The final tally: 3 episodes aired.
What was the point of even making this show? |

I was looking forward to watching this show.

Sad. I couldn't even make it through 5 minutes and I adore PP and LA.

Finally got around to watching the pilot on hulu last night. Way too stagey for me (and as others have said, the laugh-track made it all seem false). I'm
disappointed because I love Posey and Ambrose. I thought the show kind of wasted their talent. Hopefully both of them will look for other small screen
projects. They'd be much better off doing a show like Samantha Who rather than a sitcom.
