When Dexter was sitting in the room across from Perry and Perry didn't know who Dex was - THAT look on Dexter's face was priceless. So full of hope
and excitement - and knowing he'd been right all along. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Do you think there's any chance Dexter's dad is a sociopath? I'm really glad CBS and CTV are running this show on Sunday nights now or I never would've discovered that it's running on the movie channel as well. Only MC2 is running it ever night so there's no week waiting in between shows. Actually it isn't playing on the weekends just during the week. I've never known weekends to be so long. I can hardly wait for tomorrow so I can watch the next one. I'm not a thriller/slasher/gore fest viewer so it's taken me a bit by surprise how much I like this show. The whole show is just really well done. |

Almost everyone here has seen both seasons so we KNOW the answer to questions from season one, I don't want to spoil anything for the CBS watchers.

I just finished the first book and I'm now a few chapters into the second. I'm not that surprised at the big plot differences but it's so
wonderfully easy to see the xters leap off the page. Especially Deb, LaGuerta and Doakes - even though he's a bit player for the first book. Looks like
that's going to change in book two.

hoping she gets killed off or something.

I just finished Netflixing season 1, too -- awesome show, I'm profoundly hooked.
Does anyone have any advice on how to see season 2? The DVD's don't come out until August (WTF are they thinking?!) and Showtime doesn't appear to be airing them anytime soon. |

Unfortunately, I've got DirecTV with an ancient receiver -- no On Demand available (if it is available at all on DirecTV).
I looked into upgrading simply to see season 2, but the Showtime website lists only on demand eps from season 1: http://www.sho.com/site/dexter/schedule_vod.do Would you mind checking your schedule to see if the season 2 eps are On Demand still and the website's wrong? I could get someone with cable to record them for me. Otherwise, it appears to me that Showtime's trying to hide season 2 until the DVD official release, which is network suit stupidity of the highest order. |

So I had been watching bits and peices Season 1 on CBS and thought it was great. And I went to CEX in Boston and found DVD of the complete first season for
only $10.50. So I bought it, brought it home last night, watched half the season and finished up on it today. Quite simply this show is amazing and
unfortunatly I do not have a showtime subscription. Does anyone know when Season 2 will be released on DVD?

I haven't watched any Dexter episodes there, but I just watched the first couple minutes of episodes 6 and 7 to test it out, and no subtitles. So I guess
it depends on the episode.

Hmmm... those Peabody people are discriminating television viewers -- they gave one to BSG last year.
I watched just the opening to season 2, ep 1 that had the subtitles. Better that than waiting until August. I think I'm going to Netflix Firely first though. |
