on one side of the coin I like that she acknowledges that this doesnt make her hot shit and that 'being the struggling blackbird' is a fucking idiot choice in life, but.....
All of the rockers take this 'I'm too rock n roll for this show', yet here they are ON the show. Sure, they are rockers when compared to karoake fucknuts they have on the show, but the way they 'look' at others is the same way people like Kerry King, Vinnie Paul or Lemmy would look at them (like Lite Rock FM pussies).
But they all need to put it into perspective. They are all average singers who just got a fucking MASSIIIIVVVVEEEE opportunity to fast track their careers. An opportunity that 99% of all people in bands won't get. Appreciate that shit for what it is. Also, appreciate that fact that people who really arent all that unique or interesting are getting these chances, not the magical 'separators'.
I've had my ipod on shuffle and I've had, in the last hour:
The Spinners - Rubberband Man
Al Green - Lets Stay Together
The Pogues - Thousands are sailing
The Smiths - There is a Light That Never Goes Out
Whitesnake - Soldier of Fortune (Deep Purple) - David Coverdale
Now THAT is some singing with some unique voices. None of this karaoke shit on AI.
