I thought tonight was pretty underwhelming in general
1. David Cook- He Rocks my socks ..... Yes he does..... 2. Archie- Vocally good but not exciting Gap 3. Carly- vocally it was good, but I don't think she is a good performer or I just don't get her. 4. Jason- cheesy but one of his best. 5. Syscreecha- she couldn't hold back and had to screech off key, but it wasn't too obnoxious Gap 6. Kristy- Ugh it really really pains me to put her this high, but this was her best performance by far, but that places her 6/11 on a very mediocore night. 7. Ramielle- She moved too much... the vocals were mostly there but she had a few slip ups Gap 8. Jacuzzi- Didn't get it 9. Brooke White- awkward and not vocally good, but her craziness dealing with the judges made up for it. 10. Michael....- that was pretty bad... and you are my favorite... you must stay... HUGE GAP. 11. Amanda- ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Brain-Amanda Kristy Michael Heart- Kristy Amanda Syesha Gut- Michael  Amanda Jacuzzi

This was the most mediocre week in a few seasons. What a big mistake having another Beatles night. And a battle of the Davids seems inevitable at this point.
1. David Cook - not as good as the past two weeks but still awesome...he's the most real rocker they've ever had 2. David A - his screw up turned out great for him because he's the only one who raised his game this time around GAP 3. Jason - full of charisma and I actually liked the song 4. Syesha - that song could have been a huge moment for anyone but she managed to be bland; she only has big notes...nothing else works for her 5. Brooke - charisma and likeability saved her 6. Carly - she's either really fake or really boring...probably both 7. Amanda - yawn...but I liked her responses to Simon 8. Ramiele - so damn likeable but so very karaoke 9. Michael - he's so BORING...he does the same thing every week; he has a boring voice, a boring performance style....it's not a shock he isn't a star yet at his age...he's very rigid. 10. Chikezie - he clearly stumbled on the country thing last week and tried to copy it again but it didn't work...the first part was his same-old cheese from the semifinals 11. Kristy - she just can't sing B: Amanda, Kristy, Carly - Kristy goes EASILY H: Chikezie, Michael, Amanda - Michael goes G: I'd have said Syesha and Ramiele but they went last |

I thought that there were a lot of mediocre performances tonight. The only stand outs were the 3 terrible ones :
9 - Kristy - better than last week, but that's not saying much. Her pitch is actually OK, but she has weak low notes and a bad and uncontrolled vibrato. 10 - Jason Castro - again, absolutely horrible despite singing one of my favorite Beatle's songs. His pitch is all over the place. I don't agree with him very often, but Simon was right about this one. If this was on the radio, you'd change the station fast. 11 - Amanda - There was nothing musical about this by any definition. Her pitch was even worse than Castro's. I hope those are the bottom three, since they sure deserve it, but I'm afraid some deaf little school girls will be charmed by Castro's eyes and someone else will undeservedly be in there. Top 11 week was supposed to be Top 100 songs on iTunes, but they pushed it back to do another Beatles week (to redeem Archtard), so i'd assume they're
going to do iTunes next week.

1. Cook. Didn't really care for him at first, but he's won me over. One of the better "rockers" this show has found.
2. Archie. Nice return to form. 3. Carly. Over all a bit dull, but well done with a pretty strong ending. 4. Syesha. Pretty good but some parts were weird. 5. Chuckie Cheese. This was just a slight variation on last week's performance, and Simon's right, this routine has become gimmicky. However, he was entertaining and his vocal was generally solid. I give him credit for surviving two Beatles weeks (probably). 6. Brooke. Really love this girl. I just wish she were a better singer. 7. Ramielle. Dumb song choice. 8. Michael. Bad song choice, clunky arrangement, some really bad notes. 9. Jason. Weak. 10. Amanda. Enough already. 11. Kristy. Bitch is beginning to look like a VTFW juggernaut. B: Kristy. H: Amanda. G: Syesha, or maybe Chuckie Cheese. |
