He was eliminated not because he is or isnt gay, but because he is Obnoxious. Leaving sexual preference aside we as a culture prefer people who have some
humilty. Danny is sorely lacking. His vocals for the final song were awful. If danny were a woman and behaved that way he would have been eliminated. There
are plenty of famous people who are gay, I do not believe that is the issue. If you look at each winner over the years they do not have a sense of
entitlement Danny did.

I've talked to a lot of people about Danny to get opinions, as I loved the adorable kid and found him very entertaining and talented and BRAVE. I came to
the conclusion that he really was booted because of his sexual orientation and I find it very sad. You'd think people would have moved past their phobias
and judgment by now, but not entirely so.
Basically, most of the people I talked to stated something to the effect of: "I had no problem with him being gay, BUT it was just too much." I was very disappointed in the responses. I guess we're still in a world where most people will be "tolerant" if it's subtle homosexuality or in-the-closet homosexuality. I wish the best for Danny and I hope he doesn't take the "rejection" too hard. I hope he has a good support base at home. Danny <3<3<3 |

I miss the kid, too. However, even if he'd gotten as far as I actually wanted and expected, we'd be losing him this week anyway. He never did sing up to his full potential. This show eats teenaged boys for lunch. Danny doesn't have the years of vigorous brainwashing training that Archuleta has. |
