I'm waiting for something that isn't up its own ass with commentary, and is actually funny. It's been about 3 seasons now.

*sigh* After all that excitement, I was SO bummed by last nights first new episode. Still holding out hope though the rest are laugh-your-ass-off funny.

I didn't think the episode was so horrible. It didn't have any social satire then I could imagine, but it was still a pretty funny episode. South Park
is kind of like Monty Python, even at their worst, theres still plenty for you to chuckle at.

It wasn't that bad. A lower end episode for sure, but it was still consistently amusing. I was rolling on the floor twice:
1. Cartman pulling out the syringe in Kyle's room. It seemed obvious in hindsight, but I really didn't see it coming. 2. The yuppie pulling up to the village in Nigeria with the good news. |

I find nothing amusing about AIDS humor. However, there wasn't any humor in this show to begin with, so the AIDS part of it never really caused me any
outrage. It simply wasn't funny. AT ALL.
It's time to put a cap in this suck-fest. Parker and Stone went from bizarre and outrageous to cutting-edge and hysterically shocking, then rapidly plummeted to "what can we pull out of our assholes?" Seasons are what? Eight episodes? I'll finish them up, but barring any comedic miracles, I'm done with this crap. I think that last thing that mildly amused me was "Does it sparkle with you?" And even that was mediocre. Grave disappointment with Lewis Black's new show, too. I really enjoy him when he does a standard stand-up rant. The format of this new show is simply awful. And while I'd use duct tape to restrain and anally torment Greg Giraldo for my own pleasure, it's still sad to see Comedy Central trot out the same old D List comedians that haven't worked since Colin Quinn went off the air. |

It was an OK episode, I loved the "and I'm not just sure, I'm HIV Positive!" line

I thought it was funny in that it kind of made a point in a ridiculous way.
LOVED Lewis Black's show though. |

And they've been pulling stuff out of their assholes since the first episode. And the
show's still overall as good as it's ever been for the most part.
I think that last thing that mildly amused me was "Does it sparkle with you?" And even that was mediocre. I love how your big claim of the last time the show was funny is from the episode before this one. "Oh yeah, that South Park show? That
show's been terrible for ages. The last time I enjoyed it was the most recent episode! STICK A FORK IN IT!"

I really don't get the "They Should Cancel This Shit!" trolls for South Park, Family Guy, and Simpsons. Yeah, they are all showing their age,
but they can still occasionally do a great episode. To make a sweeping call for the show to end just because it disappoints YOU -- I don't know, maybe you
could just not watch it? And if enough people do likewise, it will get cancelled, but how about just worrying about yourself there, kitten, because some of us
still like the shows.

I loved the last season finale, and was completely starved for South Park so I was pretty surprised to find myself not liking the episode. I laughed when they
first announced Cartman had HIV, but it was mostly out of shear shock. I also liked the "HIV positive" line and when Butters kissed Cartman, but that
was it. When Cartman was making Kyle say over and over that he didn't think HIV was funny, I was waiting for him to announce that he had somehow faked
giving Kyle the virus. The episode was all over the place, though, and the cure in the end was a complete let-down.
As much as people complain about all the messages and social commentary in SP, I think the show sometimes suffers without it because it's become such an integral part of the show. Now, whenever there's an episode without some over-riding message, I spend ages trying to figure out what exactly they're referencing/making fun of that I'm not getting. |

Um, for whoever said this show is done, you clearly didn't see the recent episodes "Le Petit Tourette", "Imaginationland" and
"Guitar Queero" Brilliance.

Yes, calling for the end of South Park is ridiculous, it is still one of the funniest shows on TV. But last night's ep was a suck fest. They could have
opened the season with something better and saved the sucky episodes for the middle of the season.

They went a long way to get to the punchline. But that punchline still stings.....

It was ok, definitely South Park. I thought it was fairly average for the show.

Bump for tonight's Britney-skewering episode. I actually expect them to throw some sympathy her way.
I hope it's "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset" territory! |
