Posts: 4126 (03/12/08 9:47 PM) I need a life Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I guess I'm a lil confused cuz I didn't see David Hernandez as a flaming gae in the least. and as much as I loved Danny I can't 100% say he was eliminated because he was gae...he gave a shitty albeit entertaining performance and the video of him wishing Santa raped children's mothers also hit that week.... David Hernandez turned in one fantastic performance "Papa was a rolling stone" and then squat after that. There have been plenty of gae contestants now if you said you can't be OPENLY gay, I'd give you a big red X but alas Danny was the most open one by far and he bascially fucked himself if indeed he was picking his own music.

Brooke mentioned her husband at least once, Luke and Michael have both mentioned their wives a couple of times and Carly talks about her husband a lot. I still wonder if Cowell and company knew Will was gay when he tried out for the original Pop Idol. I know he came out after Pop Idol (after a stupid tabloid rag threatened to out him) but I wonder if they knew their Pop Idol was gay beforehand since we all know how Simon feels about the gays. Kristy beat him because she had the demographics on her side. They had just eliminated two other blondes. She is the best looking contestant. And she sings country. Yeah, she was bad this week but she represents a few things no other contestants do. The gay argument is not the real argument. He lost votes due to the stripper rumors. Straight or gay. Male or female. Does not matter; strippers are sleazy.

He was the last interesting person (with the whole stripper gate scandal and all) on this season. Now we get stuck we a bunch of boring, bland and generic fuckers who probably won't have successful music careers. Fuck this shit. Also, in terms of vocal ability, David H was the only one who could truly give Devil Child a run for his money. Now it's a no brainer that Devil Child will win.

The only way a man can get away with being flamme is if he fronts a rock band of sorts, then for some reason they can act gae and wear make up and shit but as long as they talk about eating pussy, it's all good. Gaes buy a lot of music and are a huge demo for sales, but as for being an artist, no. Sure u got George Michael, Elton John, but both men were established superstars then came out. Melissa Etheridge, K.D., yeah they are niche markets, have success but they are not battling it out with Alicia Keys for #1 on Billboard. Hernandez suffered the Noriega effect. He became obviously gae for people due to the scandal and the votes stopped coming and a lot of people got turned off or didn't feel like voting anymore. Top it off with a lackluster performance. The producers don't put many flammes on the show cause it won't sell and it's obvious with the votes.

The media had a virtual love fest with the contestants that season. There wasn't one scandal that I recall. Nikki's past was glossed over as her doing what she had to do to support her son or something like that.... I'm not sure what the big deal is about him being a stripper.... and I don't think that got him booted off...no one at my work knew about it because they don't come online.

In fact of the bottom three he was the worst this last performance. At this stage of the game with so many talented people (even though some of them weren't amazing) you can't have a bad performance. I didn't vote for anyone but if I had he would not have received my vote just because he might be gay.
