it only hurst when i chew something hard, like an almond.
or when i chew gum. i loooooove nitrous. i had my wisdom teeth out while awake so i have experienced the sound of teeth breaking and the sensation of pulling and then the pop that it makes when it comes out. |

you probably have a nasty cavity. which can also lead to root canals.

What kind of pain are you experiencing? Is it a dull ache, sensitivity to touch or cold, or a feeling of pressure/throbbing?

well, in that case, maybe you can help me. I had an apicoectomy on 2 teeth about a year ago after 2 failed root canal attempts. My gums are still swollen and
it still hurts sometimes, especially when I floss.
What is wrong with me!? Apparently, I had a lot of bone loss. |

since you haven't been in 7 years, they will most assuredly do an x-ray.
and you'll probably need root planing. |

Root canals have to be the most overrated pain ever. I had one done when I was 18 and they drug you up so much you feel nothing.
Now when I had my wisdom teeth removed, that was painful once the drugs wore off. |

root planing hurts way more than a root canal. I've had 5 (2 were re-done) and they never hurt that badly.
