Ok, everyone, we're heading down the final stretch to the Mid-Season Finale next week. Then we'll be LOST-free for about 1 month.
Here's this week's quiz. If you haven't played before, you are welcome to join in the fun. Here's how it works: Post only your answers (i.e., Yes or B), as that makes it easier to score. Once you submit your answers, you may not edit your post. Be sure to submit your answers before Thursday at 6 pm Eastern Time (note this is earlier than usual, but you have plenty of time to submit your answers). Good Locke to you all. 1. Will baby Aaron cry? (50 pts) 2. Will anyone mention Charlie? (50 pts) 3. Will anyone gather/catch/hunt food (boar, fish, fruit, etc.)? (50 pts) Taking it out of a frig/cabinet doesn't count. A Dharma food drop would count as gathering. 4. Will anyone repair a shelter? (50 pts) Shelter = hut, house, any sort of dwelling 5. Will any alcohol be consumed? (50 pts) 6. Will anyone do laundry? (50 pts) 7. Will anyone change clothes on camera? (50 pts) Must include removing shirt or trousers so that bare skin is seen; just removing a jacket/hat/gloves isn't enough; removing a haz/mat suit counts only if the person is just wearing underwear under the haz/mat suit. 8. (100 pts) Sawyer saying "Son of a B...." would count as 1 time. If he says that same phrase 3 times, then it would count as 3. Alright, some questions about the questions:
1. Does swearing in a foreign language count as swearing? For example, if Jin finds out Sun cheated on him and says, (in Korean) "Sun, you are a worthless slut!"...would that count? And for that matter, would the words whore and slut count as curse words? 2. If a person is hit on the head and knocked out and is CLEARLY unconcious (as Kate was in the last episode), will it really not count as an injury? |

Here we go with the visible word again. If we're sticking with a formula then yes kate was injured because she bled. If we saw no blood, she
wasn't injured. Weird. I hope we don't see a red mark and argue for three days over the definition of bleeding. I remember a blood red scratch
wasn't considered bleeding in a quiz last year and I disagreed.
Oh I'm a strange one but slut doesn't seem like a curse word but whore does. 
IMO a foreign bad word is still a bad word, long as we know wtf is said? (like in captions) We need a list of acceptable curses. j/k |

IMO, if the word is something you wouldn't say in front of your grandmother or at some fancy function, it counts as a swear word. Jin's grandmom
understands Korean, so Korean swear words count too. However, since I don't understand Korean, the swear word has to be in subtitles.
Oh, one more point about swearing. Remember we have the FCC monitoring tv shows for bad language, violence and risque business. There are certain swear words they just don't allow. You just won't hear words like slut and whore on a primetime tv show. When Charlotte bopped Kate on the head last week, there was a great deal of blood. Gotta be blood for it to count as an injury. Otherwise there can be all kind of wild claims--Claire stepped on Ben's toe, so that counts as an injury, or Locke stuck a grenade in Miles' mouth, so that counts as an injury. Carry on.
