I could have done without the booger story, but I thought his vocals were really good.

He was awful last night. The judges were overly nice because he was on drudge all day.

Will be interesting to see what David's demeanor is like today after watching back the episode at home last night...especially if he ends up going home. |

What made his performance awful was the arrangement and the backup singers, who were totally singing off key during the whole thing. I had to re-watch it several times to figure it all out. But yeah, TPTB are totally trying to screw him over. |

I voted for him and Danny, because he's an incredible singer, he has the whole package, he can really sell the song, has one of the best voices there, and
he has beautiful eyes.

Though it was a bad song choice to begin with, chances are he probably didn't choose it (especially considering the fact that it seems as though the contestants don't get to choose their songs this year). If he didn't choose it; I don't blame him one bit for it. And if he did choose it, then that sucks for him.

It's a JIM STEINMAN song, recorded by Pandora's Box, Celine, and most recently done by Meat Loaf.
I hate to see Celine get that much credit for the great man's work. |

I actually think it was a great song choice for him. It actually allowed him to turn his overdramatics (which can be annoying) into a strength.
Now, I agree that the booger thing was stupid and will not endear him to voters. However, I think that Castro's dread falling off is even MORE repulsive, and yet his borgish fans seem to think that was just the cutest thing! I don't get it... |

There was a story about him on Entertainment Tonight. He stripped at a gay bar.

This is the first time all season I've been surprised. Between the stupid booger story, the questionable song choice, Simon telling him he'd go
through, and Stippergate, I was sure he was leaving.
Good for him, he deserved to make it to the top twelve. Now whether he gets any further, who knows. Picking the right song without too much melisma would be a good start. Putting tape over the mouths of the backup singers might not hurt either. |

I'm actually really happy that he made it. I may be in the minority, but I think he has one of the best voices of this season or any other.

He'll have the most interesting E! True Hollywood Story of anyone this season if he becomes a star.
