Awsome! Loved Des to bits in it. All I could think about was how cute he was & how much STH would have loved military Des. I was pleasantly surprized I
could follow all the future stuff since I got lost when Hiro went back to feudal Japan.
What a love story! Penny stopped his nosebleed. P.S. I love my new avi. It's courtesy of soka king. (smooches to Albert kitty) |

That was the best time travel episode of any show that I have seen - and I understood it! I had an OMG OMG OMG moment with Widmore/Hanso/Black Rock.. I Lurve
how they're bringing all that back in. RIP Artz

With the scene of Charles Widmore winning the Black Rock journal in 1996, I think we were being shown the beginnings of the Widmore family's role in the
overall arc of the show.
I think Charles is up to a lot of things that Penny doesn't know about, but is on the verge of discovering. It's probably why the ship had direct orders not to take a call from her. When talking to Desmond, Penny says "I know about the island. I was researching... (static)... and then I spoke to your friend Charlie and that's when I knew." I'm going to guess she was researching her father or something or someone connected to him. It also makes the whole Oceanic six cover up story more intriguing since Penny clearly knows more than she should. |

Did anyone else realize that tonight was pretty much just one gigantic Kurt Vonnegut shoutout?

I don't think this is the best episode of LOST ever. I think this is a close second to last season's finale. That finale had so much awesomeness. I
do think this is the best season of LOST ever. It will be a crying shame if they are forgotten at Emmy time again.

Umm.. if Daniel had that note about Desmond being his constant, then how come he didn't seek Desmond out when he got there? He showed no interest whatsoever in Desmond. Is it crazy that I think that note was not in his journal until after he sent Desmond back to see him in the past.. and after the issue of having a constant came up between them? Thinking out loud... I think either the writing was NOT there before his talk with Des or either it was there and he didn't really know what it meant and just remembered it after talking with Desmond. Did he have any interaction with Desmond on the island? So, let's see....next episode it'll be December 25th, 2004--Christmas Day. The episode after next it'll be December 26th, 2004. Does that day sound familiar to anyone? From Wikipedia: "The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake was an undersea earthquake that occurred at 00:58:53 UTC December 26, 2004, with an epicentre off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia. The earthquake triggered a series of devastating tsunamis along the coasts of most landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean, killing more than 225,000 people in eleven countries, and inundating coastal communities with waves up to 30 meters (100 feet). It was one of the deadliest natural disasters in history. Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, and Thailand were hardest hit." |

Thanks to managerr, MrsSoares and Aslans for the responses. Once again I brain farted. Now the card memory test makes sense. That was one I couldn't figure
out - how it was so difficult to remember three cards and why that scene was even significant! It totally fits that Dan forgot his constant. I know
how he feels... I forget what I had for breakfast the day before so don't ask me any details of 8 years ago.

I enjoyed the episode, but I'm not a big fan of man-made time machines. I have no problem with the island causing time issues, but Dan's rat-blaster
was a bit hokey imo.

That is precisely what I think happened. Forgetting something like that seems a little implausible. Even with Faraday's memory issue. |

Wow, last nights episode was a trip. I'm not really sure what to make about it yet. I think Minkowski had "the sickness" that has been referred
to in the past by a few different characters.

Constants | ||

Nods - I was explaining your list of constants on another forum I frequent, and thought of another possible.
For Claire, it could be the song Catch a Falling Star. It was important to her that whomever adopted the baby sing it to him because her father sang it to her when she was little. And when she got to the baby's room in the hatch it was the song the mobile played. |
