No i think it was because back in season 3, Carcetti was the guy that exploited Hamsterdam even though Bunny took the time to show him why he did it and how
well it was working.

Did anyone else hear that the final episode is not going to air a week early on demand?

Yup. It will air one week from this Sunday.

Yeah, so those of us who watched episode 9 early have to wait 2 weeks for our next Wire fix, haha.

Did anyone else hear that the final episode is not going to air a week early on demand? That figures. Get all of us OnDemand junkies strung out on the junk and then cut us off--so we'll know what it'll feel like for eternity after Ep 10. I foresee a long future of DT's. |

Normally I would be peeved, but since it's the last episode ever I'm going to savor these last 2 weeks.
I hope this doesn't turn out like The Sopranos, where the second to last episode was amazing but the finale was a letdown. |

I have a feeling a few story lines will be wrapped up in a rather anti-climactic way, but over all I think the final episode will blow us all away. :fingers

The finale is like 93 min.
Thank god for small favors. |

Andre Royo is the Dame Judi Dench of The Wire. He had one significant scene in this past episode but it was by far the best I'm seen on TV in a year.

I couldn't keep from watching ep. 9 on ON DEMAND, so my withdrawal will only be 8 days. Ha ha.

GIAA, when Chris went to the Clerk's office he asked Daniels for directions in the lobby.
So, I've been studying for the bar exam for the past two months and so I cut myself off from HBO, knowing full well that I was missing the Wire. My plan was that once I finished the exam, I get HBO again and watch it on demand. Well, I finished the exam on Thursday and have watched three episodes each day. Now I'm caught up with all of you and have to wait for the finale. I just gotta say that I'm kinda glad that I got to watch all of the episodes back to back. What an epic, epic story! I can't believe this is going to be it for the show. Such brilliant writing and equally brilliant performances. Here's hoping the finale is all we can imagine and more. |

Thanks, but I still don't know what you're talking about, haha.

I read that Chris actually doesn't have a wife and kids. He was saying goodbye to his sister and her children.
They never made that clear on the show.
It does make more sense. I could never picture Chris with a wife and kids. |

Um...doubt she's his wife. But def a baby mama. Those his kids.

The actor who plays Chris said the woman was supposed to be his sister, but that it didn't come across clearly during the episode.
It's possible he's mistaken, but it's also possible it was just sloppy writing (just like Omar walking into the convenience store without a limp). Or maybe they changed things halfway through the season. I guess it doesn't really matter at this point. |
