</3 PT not getting the apeal of X-Men, I love them, they are my favorites.
Dazzler is useless though, very bad charachter. Also, who said she was an original X-Men? She wasn't the originals were Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman, and Jean Grey, and Proffesor X lead them, Dazzler didn't come on for another decade or so. Nightcrawler is the best X-Man and superhero The game must have come out when they were trying to make Dazzler relevant, interestingly enough she was actually on a team (Excalibur) until very recently |

#83. Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (Playstation)
Let it be known that I am a huge Resident Evil fan. The original was awesome, and part 2 took the ideas and concept of the original and expanded on it. But for some reason, RE3 just doesn't seem as good as the first two. I think this may be because I found the game too short, and the gameplay and graphics are too similar to the other two games. But that doesn't mean I don't like it. It's still a sweet game! This one takes place at the same time as Resident Evil 2. You play as Jill Valentine, and you are stranded in the middle of a zombie outbreak in Raccoon City. The basic idea of the game is to survive and escape the city. Some locales from RE2 make an appearance, like the police station. The hitch: Nemesis. Nemesis is one big badass "dude". He is more than just a zombie, he carries a rocket launcher and has super human strength. And his main purpose is to kill all the S.T.A.R.S members. Unfortunately, you fit this description. You can knock the Nemesis down in your occasional fighs with him, but you can't kill him. He stalks you around the city, trying to make your life a living hell. He likes to appear out of nowhere and scare the crap out of you. I found myself running from him more often than not. What is the point of fighting him if you can't kill him? Eventually you make your way to an Umbrella facility, where you board a helicopter and escape the nightmare. Raccoon City is nuked as you fly away. It's a really short game, and I think I beat it in a day or two. It's a good game and keeps you on the edge of your seat, but it would probably rank higher if it were a little tougher. |

Panzer Dragoon (Saturn)
By default, I guess you can count this as a tie between the original Panzer Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon 2, and Panzer Dragoon Orta since the three games are all very similar. This game is a track based shooter in the mold of the Star Fox series. You play as this dude riding on the back of a dragon in some kind of weird fantasy land. The text is spoken, but it is in another language and you have to read subtitles. The cutscenes and FMV are really sweet... although I never could figure out what the hell was going on in the story. I still couldn't tell you. I don't think it's that important anyway. The graphics were really good for their time for the Sega Saturn version of the game. Orta for the XBOX looks great even by today's standards. The game offers some of the biggest and most creative bosses in the track shooter genre. The music is good too. It features a dynamic orchestra soundtrack that would make John Williams proud. Like I said, the gameplay is similar to Star Fox. You are on a track and have to gun down the swarms of baddies that are always coming after you. You can hold down the button and lock onto multiple enemies at once. Letting go, you unleash a fray of missiles at them. At several points in the game, you can move your dragoon down different paths, affecting the difficulty level, and the way the stage progresses. One way the game differs from Star Fox is that you can change the camera angle so that you can see all sides of the action. Behind your dragon, in front of him, and on the sides. And you will need to master use of the camera if you want to have any chance of beating the game. This game is pretty difficult, and it took me a good time to beat the first two titles. The first two games also features no save system, so you have to start at the beginning each time you play it. Overall this is a great game, and great series. Good graphics, solid gameplay, awesome music + sound effects, and a high difficulty level make this a truly classic series that doesn't get enough attention as it should. I posted a video of Panzer Dragoon Orta, since that is the purdiest of all the titles. |

Ben and Sun are two of several VAs from the show for the game. Some like Jack and Locke are voiced by other people.

RE3!
Nemesis is awesome. It's too bad that the RE series started to go with 1 storyline in their games from that point on. Having Jill/Chris and Claire/Leon in the first two with different scenarios made it more fun to play. |

Final Fantasy VIII (PlayStation)
Yep, another Final Fantasy game that did not even crack the top 80. A lot of people agree that after the awesomeness of Final Fantasy 7, FF8 was a bit of a letdown. I will admit, it is my second least favorite of all the newer Final Fantasy games. While it doesn't necessarily stack up to the better titles in the FF series, by itself it is still a good enough game. Over the years I have decided to put away my irrational hate for the game and have learned to like it. The graphics changed from the cartoony look in FF7 to a more realistic look. The music is as solid as ever, as expected of all the Sqaresoft titles. The cutscenes are stellar. The world of the game is amazing and well designed. The gameplay and storyline is where this one falls a bit short from the others. Let's start with the storyline. I don't remember too much about it, even though I have played through this game at least three times. It has something to do with this evil Sorceress trying to take over the world. I think she tries to summon a bunch of fiends from the moon or something. I remember the fact that a lot of the characters grew up together on an orphanage, but did not realize they knew each other until later on in life. The fact that I don't remember a whole lot of the story should tell you a bit about the quality of it. Now the gameplay.... First off, I am not a huge fan of the whole draw system. I like the more traditional spell system found in other games. Drawing seemed a bit tedious and not thought out enough. Wasn't a fan. The combat itself is turn based like the other FF games. It was easy enough to follow. Nothing too new or exciting about it. The bosses were big and darn tough to beat. I recall this being one of the harder FFs. I like a challenge, but damn, a lot of the enemies took forever to beat, or were so hard they recquired multiple tries. Even after repeated leveling up. Also, it's a really long game, takes a while to beat. But some of the length of it seems kind of drawn out or forced. But still, despite all of the flaws, this is still a Final Fantasy game, and it puts a lot of other RPGs to shame. If you give it a chance, once you start playing it will be really hard to put down. Squaresoft just has a way of drawing you into their cleverly designed worlds and hanging on to you until you complete their game. It may not be close to the best that Square has to offer, but if you look at it on its own and don't compare it with the other FF games, it stands by itself as a solid title. |
