After that, there will only be two pairs left. So it looks like the couples will not be splitting up, and this will indeed be a short season.
It could also be TV Guide estimating what the content of the show will be based on the current format.

If it is a short season, it will probably mean a split of 250,000 between the two HG's because they did not spend the regular amount of time in the house
for the 500,000. Or a 500,000 prize split with both if CBS can get the money. They'll probably do a twist like "you can take this deal BUT you must
forfeit half of your earnings" I can't imagine a 3-couple endurance HoH.
There would be too much "YOU BETTER NOT QUIT ON ME" and "I can't do this anymore" between the couples. I'm really hoping for a surprise break-up of the HG's right before the live vote, making them go in a frenzy about who to vote for. The Jen/Parker eviction eliminated the need for a double-live eviction I think. This would be a good time for AG to decide whether she wants/needs to make this a short or regular season. |

They would need to sign new contracts. All of them talked the other night how their contracts explicitly stated that the winner would win $500K, not a split.
They speculated that if it remains couples that the winner would be chosen from the winning pair with the first place getting the grand prize and the other
half of the couple the $50K second place prize.

they can play couples right up 'til the end, without having to split the prize money between two people.

I hope they do start playing individually cause then the season would last until May. And if they do start an individual game, I hope we get to vote to bring an individual back. And if Allison is still in the game, I would love for Jen to come back and torture her. But if Allison is gone, then I hope my personal favorite, Amanda, returns. I like Alex too, but he's not even playing the game right now. |

So, are all the couples going to sequester? |

Haven't heard anything from Jen and Parker, so they are assumed to be in sequester. Maybe Jacob is still in sequester too.

Wonder what the sequester thing means. Returnees?

So, how about this for the way the couples split. Tomorrow night at live eviction right after Julie annouces who is leaving the couple that is staying is told
they can pick one of the evictees to stay. They must decide immediately then go straight to HOH comp where they are told they are no longer couples. Throw in
an endurance comp and watch the drama unfold.

Just an FYI, CBS.com says that the finale for Big Brother is "tentatively scheduled" for 4/29/08 and is subject to change.
It's listed in the "Official Rules" section of a Sweepstakes promotion to send a fan to the finale. |

If the show is scheduled to end on April, 29, then they can have one more couple eviction after this Wednesday, and bring one person back in a couple weeks for a total of nine houseguests to play individually, which would be enough for a seven man jury. Even with this scenario, the show could end one week before April, 29. |

By the way, that "win a trip to the finale" sweepstakes contest closes on April 1st.
If they continue voting out one couple each week, the finale would be on March 26th. The contest doesn't even close until April 1st. So, judging by that, they'll have to bring another couple back or split them up or something, regardless. |

Maybe halfway through the season they flip the script and all the people evicted to that point are considered "dead" and come back to play as
individuals while the others compete as pairs? I'm not sure exactly how that would work but it could be kind of interesting.

My guess for the sequestering of the couples is that they are ALL part of the jury and when there is ONE couple left, the couples must agree together and pick
only ONE of the remaining individuals to win the game.

My guess is after the eviction 2 HGs will return in a new pair combination. Maybe more than 1. Like for example: Alex & Parker or Jacob & X evicted HG
next week. Randomly drawn? Competition, competition between the recently evicted, winner gets to chose a new partner from the previously evicted HGs etc.
It's what I'd do. No reason why the pairs have to be the same but it would help keep the pairs twist going a little longer at least.
