So i guess Walt's gonna have to cook up some more awesome meth to pay for his treatments.

Having just watching all four episodes back to back, I can easily say this is the best new series of the 2007-08 TV season. Brian Cranston and Aaron Paul (who
played the laid-back liberal Mormon guy from Big Love) are doing an amazing job.

This show is fantastic. The introduction of Pinkman's family was perfect. Could be interesting if he starts to turn good as Walt continues to break bad.

i'm not sure what this could be, but just a fyi for my buds...
'Breaking Bad' uncensored on IFCAMC's hot new comedy-drama breaks the rules this week over on sister cabler IFC. "Breaking Bad Uncut & Uncensored" airs Friday (Feb. 22) at 9-11 p.m., presenting the acclaimed series' first two episodes in a "director's cut" and without commercial interruption. The latter is possibly the best news, because "Breaking Bad" weaves a web of both character suspense and black comedy that benefits mightily from uninterrupted immersion. The "uncensored" boast may not make as much difference, but be aware the channel is labeling this airing with a TV rating of MA for sex, language and violence. newsday.com link |

Fuck the Oscars, I was looking more forward to this. I read in the paper that there were only 2 episodes left? 2 more were written but when unproduced due to
the writers strike.
I wanted him to take the job and get the treatment but......then it wouldn't be Breaking Bad. |

LOL at Jesse trying to go straight, and with his "Curriculum Vittae" (sp?). Poor kid. I missed a few minutes of the ep, though, and have no idea why
he left that other dude behind in the desert. What happened? One minute, they were cooking up meth, the next, the kids chasing after the RV.

The bleeping is inconsistent on this show. I recall several times when the word shit was bleeped, but clearly uttered when the brother-in-law says "I got
a shit hand", not once but twice (and both times, almost slowly for emphasis).

Shit, I missed this last night. I'll watch it later.
I think they filmed 7 episodes. Even with the strike over, there's probably not enough time to film new episodes this season. Hopefully they will add the extra episodes onto season 2. |

I LOL'd at the birthday party scene where the rich guy was opening all his presents in front of everyone.
"Why is he doing this? What is he, 8 years old???" |

tarzan groupie - Jessie left the other guy (Badger?) out in the desert because he got majorly upset that Jessie kept throwing out the batches
of meth that had cloudy crystals. He picked up Jesse and "helicoptered" him in the RV.
Now.....what is the history between Walt and Gretchen?? Was she the one who ultimately screwed Walt over (literally and figuratively) with Elliott to steal away the company and all of the $$$? |

I guess Walt & Gretchen used to be lovers.....that was her in the episode that began with a Walt flashback to when he was younger and Gretchen & he were listing the chemical ingredients to something-or-other...I'm sure their relationship with be explored further but they haven't shown much of their history besides that so far. |

One of the best episodes yet. Lots of really damn funny parts, too.
"What you'll be doing is more like... advertising." "I gravitated more towards education." "Which university?" |

What I'm loving about this series is how they'll set up moments where you expect you know what is certain to happen next, but then reveal the
"next" in a way that makes far more sense despite the surprise.
Example: the birthday present. Ol' Walt's getting set up to be a fool (the invite DID says no presents, after all -- fucking Ken Wins lowlifes), yet birthday boy megabucks dude loves the Ramen... and then their past is revealed. And birthday boy turns out not to be a Ken Wins type. And Walt was boinking his wife back in the day. And so on. Brilliant stuff. I absolutely love this show. Anyhow -- Walt getting screwed out of the business' money: was that revealed or speculation? I missed that link. (tarzan groupie: per.tition to replace the Bryan Cranston returns ref in the thread title with "Wanna cook?" or sumthin.' This guy stepped out the Malcolm shadow 15 minutes into the first ep.) |

Anyhow -- Walt getting screwed out of the business' money: was that revealed or speculation? I missed that link.Mostly Spec. My take on it is that the company was originally supposed to be Elliott and Walt (Schwartz + White = grey matter). But then Gretchen got in the middle and now the company is owned by her and Elliott. |
