I too agree that Jack feels incredible guilt over Claire.

Hi Joey - I am SO not looking forward to seeing what happens to Claire. Or what goes down on that island that makes Jack and Hurley nutcases. I wanna know but
I don't... I'm scared, hold me! :)
JustNotThatIntoYou - Love the board ID. Did you get it from the book? |

you're right Felicia...when you say that it's more in tune with Jack's behavior to be upset about something bad that went down on the island with
Claire, then his being concerned or merely jealous of Sawyer.
I'll say this for the writers...they have definitely piqued people's interest...as to how on earth things get to being the way they are in the flashforwards<g>. |

Exactly, Joey.
If you haven't watched from episode one, and are unwilling to watch the DVDs and catch up...it makes no sense. It was season one that captured us all. I have a couple of friends who tried to watch it in season two, but gave up because it was too difficult to follow and/or made no sense. I told them, ya gotta watch season one! Sorry for the threadjack, Felicia....now, back to Jack...the "fixer" who has conflict when he cannot "fix" I agree, he must be in torment with guilt leaving anyone behind. I find it hard to believe he could do it. |

Dirty Diana!! | ||||||||

I always hear that Michael Jackson song when I see your posts, Diana. Before Lost I watched other shows, but not since Twin Peaks back in the 90s did I get so into a show that I could not/would not miss one single
episode. Twin Peaks got so messed up and really disappointed me. Despite all the endless questions and complete insanity at times, I have never been
disappointed by Lost. I have been disappointed by some of the writing, but as a whole Lost does not disappoint. It's my favorite addiction!!

so... since Claire is supposed to raise Aaron or some terrible thing will happen-- what is the terrible thing??
could it be this terrible thing that causes Jack's downward spiral? arghh! on one hand, I never want LOST to end. on the other hand, I want to know everything already! |

everything with the island. For instance, he's smiling, he's a doctor again, a moderate drinker, etc....This leads me to believe everyone who wanted
to leave the island was able to. But I still have no idea about the Claire situation.

Ok since this is a Jack thread I have a question-
We know Jack was in Australia to bring his dad home. Dad dies and coffin is on plane. We know in Jack's FF his Dad is alive because he tells the head doc to go ask his Dad about drinking blah blah blah ---- Am I correct on this or was I dreaming this ? Sad to say it but I remember scenes that might not have been in show. Dreaming about Lost is pretty sad |

Gosh stacy I don't know who could still be alive and who isn't. Maybe Kelvin since I don't recall a burial, but maybe that was something that
happened that we never saw. Naomi most certainly seemed dead.
Jack didn't go to Australia to get his dead father. His mom asked him to go to find Christian and bring him home. When he got to Sydney, Christian was dead. Ahh well appeared to be. (like Nikki and Paolo appeared to be.. heh) Jack never touched him or examined him or anything. One would assume a dude in the morgue with no visible signs of life IS dead. I don't know if Jack called his mother or not. He might have wanted to wait until he got the body home to tell her. (as I recall, his mom kinda made Jack feel it was his fault Christian jetted off cuz of Jack turning him in for operating under the influence) So it is possible Christian is alive and is part of the cover-up, got back home and noone ever knew he was "dead". I wonder if a coffin carrying a body would be listed on the manifest or if there would be some kind of documentation that still exists about anything being carried on the plane aside from passengers occupying seats. (coffin, animals - Vincent, etc) The writers are probably just screwing with people like me who want Christian to be alive. They're making me delusional. |

about Jack mentioning his Father as if he were alive: I'm beginning to think that coming off the island may have screwed up their memories somewhat. Look
at Daniel...and his not being able to remember the 3 cards in front of him...and also the scene where Daniel wasn't sure why he was crying about the downed
flight 815. I'm just suspicious something is being set-up with these scenes.

Yeah, good points, Pegs.. arrggghhh who knows. Just think - two years from now we'll have ALL the answers. (one can hope) TWO YEARS!! Will we survive?!
Hi CSID - Quit stalking me. Hey has anyone seen Vantage Point yet? It started Friday. Maybe I'll go see it next weekend. |

FeliciaM7 wrote:=Correct, Jack was searching for his dad; did not go to fetch a body but find a drunk. =Mom & everyone in LA was expecting Jack to return w/ a coffin. Remember the FB to the airport when Jack explained that he was heading straight to his dad's memorial service after the plane landed? =There was no body on the plane -- Jack didn't have the proper papers & Oceanic wouldn't let him on w/ the corpse. Later Jack finds the empty coffin has magically been thrown into the caves near the waterfalls. |

Hi CC! You're right. I forgot about the scene at the airport so yes his family, friends and colleagues would have known about Christian's death.
