My guess when I heard they were doing 60s the first week was that maybe they'd do 70s the next and 80s the week after that. It looks like that might be
happening.

With each week that passes and the decade weeks get higher and higher, Simon will probably start to acknowledge them making songs more 'current',
completely unaware of how delusional he is. |

Looks like it's just about confirmed that it's 70's week. Once again it doesn't make me happy, however, unless Nigel decides to screw us all
(which isn't that far-fetched) the week after should be 80's week. So that will be decent
Lets hope Brooke does some Fleetwood Mac this week! |

70's music is some of the best music ever sung by some of the greatest singers in the known world, dawg...

Don't know if this has been posted, but some insight into the song selection process. This is from Garrett's interview with MTV.

Oooh, maybe there will be a poor soul who sings Donna Summer's "Last Dance" (unless I'm thinking of the wrong decade).

I just saw the article on VFTW about how the producers are screwing them with song choices. What a surprise.

So now the excuse they'll use is "Everybody else took the song you wanted" instead of "We couldn't clear your song in time"

He was not surviving this week no matter what song he chose.

80's! | ||

I will be really excited if the theme is 80's in two weeks because other than Season 1, AI has somehow managed to NEVER have an 80's Theme night which
is kind of ridiculous considering many of their viewers were born in the 80's and love that music. The closest they've gotten is "Year They Were
Born" or "Billboard #1's" and the 80's songs produced some great performances ... Carrie - "Alone", even the troubled Jessica
Sierra did well on "Total Eclipse of the Heart". Anyway, just hoping it's really 70's and 80's for the next 2 weeks, I can dig 70's
too as long as it's not too much Disco.

So many kiss of death 80's songs:
Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone Don't You Forget About Me Another One Bites the Dust Beat It Could've Been Goodbye is Forever King of Wishful Thinking the list goes on... |

Love 1970's music. Awesome decade musically. I hope Carly turns loose on some more Heart. Heart has a mean version of Led zepps "Rock and Roll"
and many other hard rockin'tunes |

I hope someone sings Donna Summer. Maybe Screamesha will "sing" "Last Dance"

Maybe a lot of people from the 80s won't release their songs for this cheesefest, although U2 must have for the Norway idol guy, but if I was U2 I would
say "hell no you can't make crap of our songs." They could probably get a Flock of Seagulls song rights, or something similar.
"Here, sing this one."and then Simon and the other two tell him what a bad song choice he made. Does Nigel not tell Simon and Randy that they made him do the song? Paula needs to shutup when Simon is talking as well. The only one that has anything meaningful to say is Simon and they both talk over him every single time.
