I'm irked that Cirie was basically ditching her "alliance" with Jonathan and making it out like it was him that was being the bully and the snake and all that. And I'm pissed that Cirie is advancing Parvati in the game. I don't care for Parvati at all. Both her toothy grin and her non-toothy grin bug the hell out of me for no other reason than I think she's a retard. Those are my biases.
But I don't think the editing did much in terms of manipulating Jonathan or Cirie's character. I think they came off exactly like they are. Cirie's not utr like she had to be early in S11, she arrived in micronesia with all of her experience and confidence intact. Because she's a woman or because she's a fatty, this might rub people the wrong way. Meh.
Jonathan saw his game crumbling and lost the delicate hold he had on his "personality" which I think was, if not the deciding factor in turning Cirie off the JAYE alliance, it was a close number two.
What the show revealed to me most, was that Parvati actually was doing the orchestrating. She's the one that kept the 4orgies in line with Cirie, to keep her trust. And, as far as they showed us at Tribal Council she managed to keep her mouth shut while Jonathan was almost matter of factly referring to her as the primary threat/weakest link of the Fave tribe.
From an editing standpoint, they couldn't help but focus on Cirie and Jonathan but what did they show that they didn't have to? And what didn't they show that probably happened?
For no story reasons Alexis gets the narration, the close ups, and the camera often seems to find her in group shots. I think this is editors trying to give her screen time regardless of the story. Also, we were given a line from James about how letting Cirie call the shots wasn't a good thing. Explaining why he votes for Parvati maybe?
I'm also wondering why there wasn't even one line about how Parvati is reacting to Jonathan. Surely she must have an opinion about him. But we just got the calm gameplay-Parvati last night. Trying to make her look like a worthy finalist?
