They were told 7 are on the jury, therefore the split HAS to occur either NEXT WEEK (with 10 houseguests remaining) or the next week and they bring one of the evicted houseguests back into the game, but the split has to be before the Final 9 to make any sense. Thoughts?

I think that James, Chelsia and Josh will stay together, but I think Sharon's out of there. Ryan and Allison will probably stay relatively close, while Sheila and Adam will be polar opposites, probably gunning for one another. And Natalie will stay connected to Matt's cock the rest of the game.

On the one hoof it would be lame to turf the couple thing any sooner than that but on the other paw bringing someone back into the game and then presto! they're on the jury - that's also lame. And perhaps at some point a couple can win a Divorce reward.

Last night, Julie mentioned that Jen ans Ryan would not see each other again for the next 3 months....so to me, that says long season. In order for them to do that, they HAVE to split up the couples or they are going to be bringing people back (with Sharon and her guy already being in sequester...I \think that had to have been in the game plan).

Personally, I don't think there's going to be a split. Ratings suck and CBS is probably regretting their decision to ever do a winter edition. They could make more money with CSI re-runs than having to pay the entire BB production crew for ratings they could get with another show's reruns. Regardless how entertaining the cast may be, the ratings are all that matter to the network, and unfortunately the ratings suck beyond suckage.

"Might" can hinge on a lot of factors...like if Parker were to stay in sequester (which I doubt) and if one of them were to be voted back in, which one would it be. I also agree with the opinions about the ratings. But I also think if they do cut the show short due to ratings then they are going to be starting BB10 on a bad note.

I'm enjoying this season alot, but unfortunately alot of others aren't. I just don't want this season to turn people away from BB for good and end up screwing us out of the summer versions, too. I'm sure that we'll have a summer version this year, but if ratings suck as a result of this edition turning people off, it leaves summer of 2009 in limbo and I don't like that.

Posts: 4888 (02/21/08 7:16 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	i don't really care how long it lasts and i don't believe for a minute it will affect the summer show. this was just a bonus for us because of the strike. summer BB will be just fine, but it WILL end one day. it's not like we'll be meeting here every summer for the rest of our lives. shows get cancelled all the time. i'm enjoying this season immensely and it'll be whatever it is---if it's short, so be it. if it's not, no big deal. but i'd be shocked if it had a fucking thing to do with BB being on this summer. shit, if i can survive the end of 'the sopranos' and the upcoming finale of 'the wire', i think i can survive the end of this too. i don't think it will be this year, though.

I also think it will be a full season- the ratings are not horrible, anything up against Idol is going to have lower ratings, reality fans tend to all watch most of the same shows so the hard core BB fans are watching, the other reality fans are watching Idol and the remaining viewers are splitting between the other shows. I think there are ways to bring people back and re-couple them-imagine the drama if Jacob and Jen come back together or Parker and Amanda.

There's a new season of Top Model on, for starters. CBS isn't completely braindead yet, so they won't commit to this while their overall ratings sink. Big Brother will be gone before sweeps, at the latest. Maybe they will finish out the rest of the season online, like Pirate Master.
