We know for sure that ABC ordered 10 episodes.
Ten contestants plus the Mole fits the math for that many episodes if they go with executing a player each episode and a reunion/reveal at the final episode.

You could always ask one of the contestants from the previous seasons.... most of them have Myspace's.

searcher, how many days are there between executions? you figure with 10 episodes, the last having 3 people, 2 + the mole right? There are 9 episodes to
eliminate 7 people which means there would be 2 non elimination episodes. I dont really know how it works for sure, but I am just spitballing here. I
can't imagine, even with fligh times and rest, it could be more than 4 days between eliminations...so you are right, that would be 6 weeks or so. But I
think there must be 12 people they are going to cast if they are not going to have any non execution episodes. Sorry to ramble, just thinking as I type. My
guess is 5-6 weeks of filming with 12 people.

That's two less lots than I hoped for! LOL now it is even harder to get on...
(unless the twist this year is multiple moles...HMMMM) a cast of 20 with 10 moles and 10 players! haha that would be obnoxious. And then they could have an all-stars...moles versus contestants...oh ok not cool I know. It might not be any longer than 6 weeks...which is fine as long as contestants get a generous stipend for the work they are missing (and possibly even quitting, which I would probably have to) |

yeah that's my worry too...being able to get the time off. Probably not worth it if the prize is only a portion of $500K, unless $500K is the worst you
can do if you win...oh well...we'll all know the answers to many questions soon! Did we get on, how many players, how long, and who is the mole? Good
luck in the next week to folks...

SEG Plant wrote: Anderson's narration said executions took place every few days. Vague.
Participants in both of the first two series mentioned that they thought filming took too long and they were really ready for it to be over by the end. |

Thanks for the info. I hope I get to find out exactly how long!!!

You're welcome.
Hope we both get to find out exactly how long. (That sounds like a double entendre.) Want to have a showmance if we both get cast? |

Laina's middle name is Rose. If you knew her well enough, you'd know her last name. Scott was very, very LA. Laina knows what she's doing and
weeved in and out the fake people who were just there for television. That girl deserves a raise and praise because I have complete faith with her in the
passenger seat the cast will be terrific.

I love how SEG Plant is talking like he's going to get on the show for sure, and he just might do it if it isn't too big of a hassle

I'm thinking that maybe I should have tried to get to talk to Laina instead of Scott. I know I overheard her asking more personal questions and seemed to
be taking longer with the group she interviewed than Scott. Oh well.
As for filming time, during episode 2 of Mole 2 Bill says that "We'll be out here for six weeks", so that's how long Mole 2 was with 14 players. I'm pretty sure once it got down to the final 3 in Mole 1, Anderson narrates about Jim/Kathryn/Steven's journey together "over the past month" or something to that effect. With only 10 players it would make sense that it would be a couple weeks shorter. So I suspect that with only 10 players it won't go over a month of filming. If anything I can see them trying to condense it a bit into 3 weeks.

Anyone else find it funny that we seem to have all these leaks from people who interviewed with Laina & Scott but absolutely no information from any of the
other cities? I'm starting to picture a cast made up entirely of midwesterners and mid-Atlanticans ("Yo!"). But hey, that sure beats a cast of
Southern California actor-model-Beauty Queens ... which seems to be the standard operating mode of a certain other major reality show.

I was in New York and got through to the video round (current round).) I will give information if I find out that I dont make it to LA. Otherwise, I am paranoid to say anything yet. |

I've been lurking on this blog for a few days and decided to say hi. I am also waiting to hear.... I am in the SoCal area, but I am DEFINITELY not a mactor! I'm not even involved in the entertainment business (except for a disturbing obsession with reality TV). I answered a Craigslist ad about The Mole and they scheduled an interview for me in Burbank. I went in and spent more than 30 minutes on camera with the casting person. When she turned off the camera, she said "I think the producers will really like you," and gave me a callback letter with the video information right then on the spot. It said that I had 72 hours to turn in this video. Now I've never made a video... like, ever! So a friend and I went to Circuit City and bought a camera and software, and we struggled to learn how to do this and come up with something in a short amount of time. Plus, it was raining the whole time, so we couldn't do any filming outside -- all in the house. It was pretty lame, actually, compared to some of the fancy things that I subsequently saw on YouTube that people had done. But we got it done and mailed in 72 hours! Now of course I'm paranoid that I'll never get picked for the 2-day in LA because my video was so lame! I'm actually relieved the hear that no one here has heard anything yet, because I can still hold out hope! |

Thanks for sharing, PP. Yeah, it really struck me as strange that the next step was to make a basic audition video, especially given the 72-hour time
constraint ... that would definitely seem to favor those who already own cameras and are technologically savvy. But if they want real and/or unique people,
let's hope the producers don't favor those with slickly produced/edited videos over those who were able to barely cobble something together.
