The clouds parted just in time for the total; we have a great view out our living room window. Hoping the clouds stay away to see it when it begins to wane.
I tried to take a pic, but I guess my camera is too cheap to get a good shot. |

I went out to watch the start of totality, froze over, and am now back on the couch Cirie-style. |

Only about 5 minutes more until there'll be that sudden burst of light on the lower left side.
I need to make myself get a telescope - a good one - by December of 2010. |

So here's a weird thing. I just spoke to my mom, who lives in Phoenix, and in Phoenix it is too cloudy to see the eclipse, but here in Seattle we have
totally clear skies and have a perfect view.
It's looking very cool now. My camera still won't capture it though. |

It was so GORGEOUS last nite. I watched it from the dock, clear skies, all the stars were so bright and then, POW a FULL moon and eclipse. Awesome.
I am a little hungover from all the beer we had to drink while waiting for it to finish... |

Total Lunar Eclipse, February 20, 2008
Near totality. 
Nearly through the umbra. 
With tree, just for the heck of it. The moon was far too high in the sky to get any cool buildings or trees in earlier shots taken downtown, but I decided to try an upward angle through a willow later on. 
No moon, it was just cool and I couldn't resist turning the cam for a quick shot. 
Main Street Bridge as viewed from the Northbank. No moon, but also very, very cool. |
