Cirie's demand? | ||
|
I'm thinking Cirie's demand may be to get rid of Yau. He is compition for her position as the likable "fan fav" person. Remember Yau got the
most cheers at the intros. And Cirie sees herself as the 'remember I'm like you...the everyday person at home on the couch' per her intro clip. She
either goes with the couples or Yau's alliance will backstab him (not unlikely with his group) making a second blindside in a row. (continuing Jeff's
record # of blindsides in a row)

Do you think Cirie would risk removing Yau and having a 4 vs. 4? I would think that she would be smarter than that and would go with the showmances to take out Yau or go the other way and remove one of the showmances? Just doesn't seem to stack up for her if she makes a deal with the others and removes a member of her own alliance NOW! |

I think Cirie has the HII.
Consider the episode 2 editing: The sun was high at the end of "Smash & Grab" and not much lower when Kathy & Cirie arrived at exile sandbar. Cirie's "back across the ocean" confessional was a cute overstatement because of the short wading distances between clues. It was late afternoon by the time they had returned to the start (where they would have to spend the night) but there were several more hours of daylight when we last saw them. There was no footage of how they spent the night on exile sandbar, through early / mid morning when Kathy is ferried back to her tribe with no comments about the HII. I think this is the story line from here: Cirie will demand of each foursome that they vote out one of their own so she is not the fifth wheel in either alliance. Just being a swing vote wouldn't give her enough clout to pull that off, but flashing the immunity idol "would play a huge role in the game" (Probst quote) The lovers foursome won't consider it, but the other foursome (while Ami is looking for the HII at exile sandbar) will. Either Ami or Yau Man is blindsided. |

^^^^^ could be.
I still think Yau for the blindside due to Probst saying pre-season "Ami will change the game". So far I haven't seen her do anything to warrent that statement. "Ami's a little bit of a villain. She's also a [major] game-player. Ami will change the game." from TV Guide 1/28

Jeff indicated that if Ami had her way, she would probably start another female alliance. This may not turn into a Jungle Love Four vs. The Rest with Cirie as
tie breaker; it could also end up with the women talking and joining forces also. Ami,Eliza,Parv and Amanda may have a meeting of the minds to work together
and get rid of the men; if Parv/Amanda know they won't have to get rid of O/J right away, it could be just fine with them

Kona, Cirie doesn't have the HI. We have to be shown the person finding it in order for it to be credible that it was found legitimately, you know? If
she just produces it back at camp, the audience was left out of a key scene; we'd be thinking, "Oh, when did they slip that to her?" (which will
create a 92 page flaming wood conspiracy theory thread ;). Even with the uselessness that was Gary's Hogeboom's hidden Idol, we saw the whole scene of
him getting it. Even if she did have it, she can't use it to blackmail the entire tribe to vote off their own allies, or they'll come together to get
rid of their common enemy.
Trixi, Ami does not have her way, with regards to an all female alliance as she's on a tribe with sluts, lol.

I think they could tell the story with that gap. Normally, we have an omniscient point of view. This way, in a startling twist, we would have more of
a player's point of view, we'd be surprised right along with everyone else when she plays it. It's not the Survivor formula we know and love, but
it could be entertaining. If it generates paranoia discussions, hey, no such thing as bad publicity. They could probably spin it with the Fans format somehow,
giving folks at home more chance to play along.
Storytelling-wise, the only way that would work is if NO ONE sees the idol until it's played. If she just shows up in camp waving an idol around, yeah, it's not credible, and yeah, she gets booted, if not this round, then the next. |

Even with the uselessness that was Gary's Hogeboom's hidden Idol, we saw the whole scene of him getting it.Actually the scene where Gary finds the hidden Idol was his secret scene that they aired on the Early Show and was not shown on the show. They did not show Gary finding it because it did not enter into any storylines other than his playing it. So his finding it was not shown to maximize the suspense. In all the following seasons, the finding of the idols was shown either because it was a vital part of the story. |

I think a previously unseen scene of Cirie and Kathy finding the idol would be a perfect epilog to "Previously on . .
Survivor", and a great lead in to a great episode.
but I tend to be optimistic that way. |

FWIW Gary's finding the idol was practically shown; we saw Gary see Judd look where no one expected to be looking, cut to Gary questioning why Judd was
looking where he was, cut to Steph and someone note Gary searching his ass off.
It was almost a foregone conclusion that he found it but point being---we didn't NEED to see him find it, they built it up to such a moment that he would find it. With Cirie and Kathy that didn't happen whatsoever. I suppose there is a first time for anything but Survivor's story telling IMO would never let something like that happen without giving some little oomph to push it in that direction :shrug |

I remember Judd had the clue to it which was something like "It's not on the ground" and he told someone (Gary, I guess) that the clue was,
"It IS on the ground", lol. That clever, clever Judd! Then, Gary sees Judd looking up at all the trees and Gary wonders aloud (in a confessional),
"Why is he looking up, when the Idol was on the ground." Then, he waits until nobody is watching and he starts looking up. I thought we saw him
find it, but, regardless, we fully understood how he came to find it even without the clue, so him producing it at TC, seemed legit.

Wasn't there a rumor out there that somebody faked an idol? What if the new exilees "find" the idol -- and editing cuts to a Cirie "not so
fast" confessional...

That would be GREAT! Also, I still have a problem with Cirie siding against the showmances and still taking out Yau! This would leave her with 4 vs 4 and that would put her no further ahead in the game? |

I just checked to be sure. After leaving Cirie and Kathy on exile sandbar the story line never returned to the Favs camp. The rest of the episode was all
fans plotting and going to TC.
An episode 3 opening showing Cirie arriving at the Fav camp with the HII would definitely fit in the storyline continuity. I remain optimistic. |

Maybe we are on to something fun! Still snorting about a hidden idol, that would be way to funny. I was praying that Yau's faked idol would have been found
last time.
