Ketchup and syrup goes in the fridge once it is opened. Honey and peanut butter stay in the pantry.

Real maple syrup needs to be refrigerated because it can grow mold easily. The artificial corn syrup crap (a.k.a. Mrs. Butterworth, etc.) can sit in the pantry
indefinitely.

Yes, and I put peanut butter in the fridge too. Same with unopened cans of salsa.

I put pretty much every semi-solid condiment in the fridge. Ketchup belongs in there.

Has anybody ever finished an entire can/jar/bottle of honey? I've never gotten through one before it turns to sugar and is then virtually unusuable.
Oh...ketchup in the fridge most definitely. However, I'm with whoever said cold ketchup on hot food is disgusting. If I can remember, I take it out as long as possible before the food is ready. |

Can we talk about how AeroTard thinks preservatives make foods spoil faster in this thread?

I go through honey somewhat quickly. I have it on my greek yogurt for breakfast and Mr. Cleo spreads it on toast. Plus I use it in vinegarettes and sauces. If
you don't use it as quickly and it gets hard and/or crystalizes you can always nuke it for a few seconds. It will liquify and be usable.

Shit, I meant jar!
Do they even have cans of salsa? I also put bread in the fridge, but that's what others do too, I think. |

But what about all those ketchup bottles left out on tables in restaurants? Grosser still is when they refill them.

syrup- cabinet
peanut butter- cabinet ketchup- fridge I actually like the taste of cold ketchup on hot food. And I don't use ketchup at restaurants unless their fries taste terrible straight up but are still passable with the inclusion of lukewarm ketchup. |
