Taking the whole 22 episodes together, the story holds up pretty well. Sure there were moments that dragged a bit here and there, but over the course of 22 hours you'd expect that kind of thing. Ok yeah I know its 22x39minutes or whatever but you get my point. The story was actually well written over the long haul and they did a fantastic job of building to a climax at the end, leading into what we'll soon be seeing. Lennie James is an incredible talent, btw. Dude can seriously act.

Ep 1 - 3 were great, exciting and focus to the main plot... But as episode 4 on...the show's been dragging, and it seems like they are introducing sub-storyline each episode, which I HATE. I felt bored, fell asleep twice on ep 5 and ep 7. I will continue to watch and hope it will get better...but it's not as addictive and exciting as I have initially thought. All the mysteries are dragging like LOST.

By the time they get to the Hawkins tells Jake Everything episode is when it starts. I mean I thought the whole season was great, but some parts were better than others of course. The key is that the writers are taking time to lay backstory. They're planning on this being a saga of more than one season. Or two for that matter.
