I just found a brick of mozarella cheese from Nov. 2002. It wasn't moldy, but still tossed it out -- I decided that my obit shouldn't be 'he
committed suicide by poisoning himself with 3.5-year old cheese'

I threw something in a Styrofoam container away yesterday. I don't know what it was. It was covered in green gunge and fuzzy mold. I literally gagged when
I put it in the garbage.

The other day I when I ran out of margarine, I reached for my handy backup container at the back of the shelf. Unfortunately, it wasn't backup margarine at
all, but marinated mushrooms that were apparently left over from Thanksgiving.
Boy, were they ever rank. And the worst part was that someone had to go to the store before we could act out that scene from Last Tango in Paris properly. |

Food: Some home-made stuffed peppers in the freezer. I grew them and stuffed them several autumns ago, ate about half of them, and stored the rest in my
freezer, planning to nuke them during the winter. Forgot all about them.
I also have a quantity of photo film in the freezer that I really should test and see if its still good. You can add quite a lot to the storage life of film by freezing it, but I'm sure there are limits. Its been in there double digit years. I hoarded quite a lot of Tri-X 4x5 sheet film when I thought Kodak was going to stop producing it, but then my big field camera and darkroom started to look awfully cumbersome compared to a digital camera. I just know that Ansel Adams would have done the same thing under the circumstances. |

Well it would actually be 2006. Don't vote for Taylor, it's not worth it in the long run.

I don't know.. I clear out all the really perishable stuff every time I get groceries, so a condiment. Probably mustard.
There was a can of corn from 1990 in the Christmas Hamper though. |

The other day I found a bottle of Italian dressing the back of our fridge that expired in early 2006.
There was a two-inch thick layer of white mold floating at the top. |
