Any indication from the game that he is associated with the Maxwell Group?

I don't think so. They just gave the word "abbadon"...didn't even know it was a name. I can't
remember what season 4 clue it went with though.

And the eye in the window was BROWN. Locke's are blue.
Anyone have a HD pic of the eye? |

Cool pic. If you can, get one of the eye.

I didn't record the episode, however, did anyone notice that when Hurley is in the holding cell with the cop and when the water breaks through... was that
Charlie pressing against the glass with writing on his hand saying "they need you"?
Right before the glass shatters and floods the room. (I saw this on another forum, and was wondering if anyone else who recorded it saw it too)

Here is the pic of the eye.
As you can see, the site I got it from calls it Jacob's eye. But it almost looks like it could be blue, hard to tell. And perhaps it's possible that while Christian Shepard is in the chair, maybe Jacob was just having a little 'visions o' the island' tea party and let Christian sit for a spell. |

Also, how cool is it that Jeremy Davies is on the show? He was in the previews saying getting you off the island isn't our primary objective.
Jeremy Davies played Upham (the German/English translator, the scared one) in Saving Private Ryan. imdb bio

That really looks like Jack's eye to me.

Color of the eye is the same, you see the dark patch running along the side of his nose, matches up pretty well if you ask me. *shrug* |

Could be, but the eyebrows are different. Jack's is longer than the only in to photo. :)

Thanks to all who screencapped the above, you're all rockstars!
I totally thought it was Jack's too (once I saw the cap). Which would make sense if daddy's in the chair, that sonny boy is near-by.....well, as much sense as Lost ever makes. |

was that Charlie pressing against the glass with writing on his hand saying "they need you"? While you don't actually see that it's Charlie (the hood is up...actually looks like the Grim Reaper in the close-up), it does indeed say "THEY NEED YOU". |

For now I still think Occam says that's Locke's eye and Christian is Jacob in some form or another. Now that Locke's all in tune with the island
again, it would make sense for him to head back to Jake's and become his buddy, maybe play a few games of backgammon. The creepiest thing about that shack
is still the painting of the dog.

My first post in the LOST forum... and I am thrilled. This is perhaps the only forum that truly intimidates me
My thoughts: Definately Jack's father IS Jacob.... or the producers want you to think that. It was a fairly clear shot of him in the rocking chair IMO The whole idea of the O6 and who might be a part of it and why Jack feels that they shouldn't have left the island (along with Hurley) should be broken up and put back together in order to begin to get the meaning behind it all. First, we get the flash forward with Jack with a full beard telling Kate that they never should have left... he is failing at life and a disheveled mess. The shots with Hurley in the flash forward this week shows Jack telling Hurley that he wanted to grow that full beard and that they did the right thing by leaving the island. Apparently the previous flash forward came before tonights. Does this suggest that slowly the O6 go mad... one by one? First Hurley and then Jack? Is Kate next? Did the man who visited Hurley in the mental hospital also visit Jack later on? What DID happen to get those 6 off the island and at what price? Their mental health?? The clues given so far have indicated to ME that the O6 consist of Jack (we've seen), Kate (ditto), Hurley (ditto again), Claire and Aaron (the woman and son that Jack pulled out of the crash in the first fast forward and why he wanted to perform the surgery on Claire himself), and Sawyer (who I believe Kate is refering to in the first fast forward when she says "he will wonder where I am") The casket in the first fast forward. I am convinced it is Ben (short casket, Jack was neither friend nor family, Ben was raised on the island so he would have no friends or family to attend his funeral). Has anyone considered that it is BEN that eventually gets them off the island? And again... at what price? What did they owe Ben as a result of their freedom? Could this be why others didn't leave the island too? Ben warned the others what would happen and they stayed... while Jack (who never listens... DIDN'T listen) and a few followers urging for their freedom take the hand they are given by Ben only to realize years later (and much of their sanity later) that Ben was right all along. They never should have left the island and they are never to talk of what happened on the island to protect Ben as an agreement. "Seemed like a good idea at the time" |

Ok....I've yet to watch the episode....I don't know when it's going to air on AXN or normal TV....and I cannot download the episode with slow
dail-up.
And there was one scene with Hurley going into a cabin and seeing Jacob or something like that? And Jack pulled a trigger on Locke, but no bullets left?
And Charlie reappeared in the episode ( as a hallucination or something?)

So...the opening scene (as I read somewhere before) was Hurley involved in a car chase with the cops?Yes. He went a little bonkers after being at a 7-11 type store and saw Charlie (who is dead but still saw him) And there was one scene with Hurley going into a cabin and seeing Jacob or something like that? Yes. It was Hurley's flashforward eppy and then back to the island pre leaving. He fell behind Sawyer, etc. when they went to catch up to Jack, etc.
to tell them that the rescue is not what it seems. When he fell behind and got lost he saw Jacob's cabin and saw Jacob and thought he was hallucinating
and the cabin would reappear on him and crazy noises happened etc and then Locke found him there.
And Jack pulled a trigger on Locke, but no bullets left?Jack went after Locke after they all met up and Locke had his gun on him (the one he pointed at Jack at season ender) and Jack grabbed it from him and Locke said you won't shoot me (paraphrasing) and Jack pulled the trigger and there were no bullets and Locke essentially said I wasn't going to use it but when Jack shot at him there were no bullets and Locke said there are no bullets with a look on his face like dude you really were going to shoot me and I was never going to shoot you And Charlie reappeared in the episode ( as a hallucination or something?)Hurley in FF was in mental hospital upon his wanting to go there b/c he has been going nutso and Charlie visited him in the hospital after Hurley saw him at the 7-11 place and Charlie did say he is dead but HERE and Hurley didn't believe him so Charlie slapped him to prove that he was real though he is dead and I can't remember exactly what Charlie told him but I think he told Hurley "they need him" (him being Hurley) I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a proper synopsis of what exactly happened in the episode ;) By the time I can do that - someone else would have done it better :-) But it was Hurley's FF and obviously leaving the island took a toll on him.
Jack did visit him at the hospital when Jack saw on the t.v. the car chase and this was early on as no beard on Jack yet and Hurley told Jack he made a mistake
not staying with Jack (instead of going with Locke-while on island it came down to people choosing if they would leave the island with Jack or stay behind with
Locke b/c Locke believed the rescue was not what it seems and since Charlie warned them before he died, some others believed that also - Hurley, Sawyer,
Claire....etc.) Jack didn't believe Locke, etc. so he was choosing to go with the rescue when they came (same with Kate, Jin, etc.). Hurley apparently
left the island though despite him choosing to stay with Locke. Anyway he told Jack he made a mistake in not going with Jack.
I probably messed up something in all this but I'm still processing it all - loved the episode |

I'm not sure if this was mentioned, I did not see it in this thread. Anyway, when Hurley is in the mental hospital, just before Charlie appears he is
working on a drawing of some men exiting an igloo, in parkas and stuff. I'm guessing that is tied into Pennys radio people in the Arctic, or wherever they
were. Sorry if it was already mentioned, I didn't see any discussion on it.

Ak -
I dont think Claire was the girl in the crash that Jack wanted to operate on - He wanted to fix her like he did with his wife years earlier. And yes - the flashfrward last night was before the flash forward at the end of last season - Ok - my question still is - Who was in the coffin? Any insights yet?? I think that will be crucial in figuring out the Oceanic 6 - and some reasons why JAck has to go back... Any ideas?? |
