I was just happy that he broke the mold of red state stereotypes. Very small town, mom who has a sense of humor /acceptance. Plus no momma's boy who needs
to find the "right girl" (Clay), coming out later ( Verraros, Vanessa, etc). Hope he lasts a bit.

I liked his personality but didn't think his voice was great. I hope he improves in Hollywood, I am rooting for him.

Here is my question: Has an (operative word) OPENLY Gay person ever cracked the Top 12 on this show? Technically Anwar was openly gay before he made the top 12, but AI kind of pushed him back into the closet. Jim Verraros supposedly had a gay blog or something too. |

Leo is my friends cousin and he sang at her wedding last May. His voice from the balcony echoing through the church was absolutely moving. And he's
probably one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I'm rooting for him all the way. Not to mention, I like that he's representing my home state!
We don't have much else to do here in Iowa!
