Also the first eppy where I didn't totally hate Gio. I can't even begint o guess what Gabrielle Union's secret is going to be, so I won't try. Lovedlovedloved Amanda arguing with Marc that she used to be his superior, when she's been the receptioninst since before he started working there. Having Claire start HOT FLASH to keep her at the magazine offices is genius. Most shows, I couldn't care less if they come back or not, but I want the WGA to give the UB writers a special dispensation to finish writing this season NOW.

Project Runway winner Christian Siriano, who was famously spoofed on Saturday Night Live, is back on TV, playing himself in on ABC's Ugly Betty in an episode airing May 1. *The plot: Mode* magazine is trying to convince Christian to work with them for a fashion spread instead of their competitors*. So the designer shows up for a meeting with an entourage of models wearing his designs and Runway* judge Nina Garcia, who also plays herself on the episode. "Filming Ugly Betty was amazing," Siriano, 22, tells PEOPLE. "The cast was the most fun, lively and supportive ever." In addition to the outfits he designed for his model pals, the Runway winner also whipped up a look for Becki Newton (Amanda) - who happens to be a huge Christian fan. So, who was the fiercest cast member of them all? "Ooooh, they're as fierce and ferocious as they can be," raves Siriano. "Vanessa Williams is the queen of fierceness and Becki Newton is the princess … I'm inviting them all to my Spring 2008-09 collection - it'll be a great front row!"

Maybe it is just because there hasn't been a new episode in a long time, but I am kind of over this show. There are only so many times one can watch the same goofy plots that make Betty and her costars look stupid. Plus, with the main character not even being likable anymore, what's the point? Meh.

The actress that plays Betty commented too that they had lost touch with Betty and that was one of the things they will change.

I have actually watched quite a few of the past episodes that I had on tape to keep me satisfied. I am ecstatic and excited for a new episode and I don't care how wild and off base the show has gone since the premiere..everything they do is snarkier, smarter and more creative than most of the usual shit on TV. I actually don't know how I feel about getting back to the basics when Betty and her fam are my least favorites.. I watch for Marc/Amanda/Willy/Claire & perhaps Justin (I know he's Betty's fam btw).

Amanda and Marc were of course killer, as was Wilhemina, but Daniel was flat, Betty/ Henry were LAME as usual, and Justin/ Helga did not do it for me. Like Helga's bangs, though. I thought the mini-storyline with Claire and Alexis was cute, and it's nice to Alexis with a bit of story that's not too heavy-handed or pushing her out of the episode entirely. Hope next week is better, though. And I don't get the Renee/ Daniel chemistry, and don't give a damn about her secret. I just want Marc/ Amanda in the secret room with Irish hag watching on. And Wilhemina. <3 <3 <3

Honestly, probably for the best for her. Shes been totally marginalized almost since she got on the show. They used her for two or three episodes and then that was that. Sources Confirm: Rebecca Romijn Now Recurring Role on Ugly Betty Wow. Just...wow. Sources connected to the show have just confirmed to me that we probably won't being seeing as much of the divine Ms. Rebecca Romijn as glamazon transsexual Alexis Meade on Ugly Betty next year. I'm told she's going from a series regular to a recurring character, and this change in status was not her own doing but rather the producers' decision. Rebecca told the New York Post's Popwrap yesterday, "They made a tremendous amount of changes, especially with the writing staff [during the writers' strike]. And while I know I'll be coming back next season, with all the changes, I'm not sure they can take care of my character they way they have been. So I'll be leaving, back in a recurring capacity, but time for me to leave and find something else." Clearly, the show has been through quite a few changes lately, including the firing of Marco Pennette, whom surviving show runner Silvio Horta has gone on record as saying is "a big part of Ugly Betty's gay sensibility." Everyone who's watched the show knows the series has treated the topic of Alex Meade's sex change with both grace and humor, so...what's the deal? I mean, have you seen Rebecca Romijn?! She's hot and fabulous and funny, and I'm so confused. What happened here? I know too many cooks in the kitchen spoil the soup, but don't too many talented hot chicks on a TV series just make it better? Your theories are very welcome below, because I am stumped. No comment yet from ABC, but we'll let you know when we hear back.
