I've already saved the Wiki page for future usage if the article is subsequently deleted and needs to be relisted. If the axe does fall, an overhaul of the
article should be written before resubmission. However, you can't prevent another cretin like Royal Navy Boy to come along and do the same thing over and
over again.

Maybe British navy dude and Burnett had a thing going after the Falklands and it didn't end well.

Layman's terms please. What started this guy's panty twisting crusade against a place he supposedly has never been? |

Slip,
Isn't there an email address you can use to contact someone higher up than a wiki nerd? I remember e-mailing someone about a fake article I had stumbled upon and got an email back saying that the article had been deleted. They can't just let anyone answer their email can they?

Well, there is one email address that I found which might be useful (pending he even reads his own mail or has his PR company do it for him). That's like a
last resort if things go south.

I found an email address too, it says the email is answered by volunteers. Just wondering if it's the same volunteers that are bitching about that page.

The email addy I have is supposedly a direct one to Jimbo. It could also be reviewed and answered by his PR firm, but I'm willing to adopt a wait and see
approach until the 25th.
I find it amazing that any malcontent can submit an article for deletion of a Wiki entry at their own discretion. This makes them no better than IMDB (and I know this from personal experience ... I inserted myself in a number of 1960's TV sitcoms). Back in 2005 I placed myself as an actor in a Gilligan's Island episode where I played Voodoo Priest who has Sex with Chicken. S. |

I hope the chicken got a credit too.
I agree with you about letting just any nut submit an article for deletion. They should have levels of editors. dmoz.org had a good thing going for awhile with their open source project till google came along. |

They removed awesome from that episodes cast as well.

The voodoo listing lasted a couple of months unnoticed until it was eventually corrected. The same thing happened when I listed myself as a "Uncle Touchy
Feely" on Leave It To Beaver. I then attempted to play with the LOST fans by putting odd characters in the second season, such as "Mr.
Meahpares" and "Toothless Boatbilly with Exposed Testicles", but they caught on fast.

Why are we spending all of our time here when we can be totally fucking with Wikiarticles?
Quick darlingal, I'll meet you at the Eight Is Enough page. |

Google reveals no mention of that article, written by a Dalton Ross, I think, so I bet copyrighted and UTR of the search engines. Besides, that author gave a compliment to the site, but for all the wrong reasons, so even there a reference would be pointless.Who's the whining little wretch that wrote this? "A Dalton Ross'?? Only one of the more prolific pop culture writers out there. UTR of the search engines? Yes, but EW does have quite a large circulation, even if your search engines can't find anything online. And, my personal favorite, "that author gave a compliment to the site, but for all the wrong reasons". REALLY? |
