Watched up to episode 7, now its gonna be a long wait for a new one. Though the ending of episode 7 would have been a nice way to end the entire series.

Spoiler [+] I almost had a heart attack in Episode 5 with Omar's return. Now that I've watched the 7th episode I can wait, now that Clay Davis will have his revenge. The ending was a shocker, of course, but the most poignant moment for me was Carver not remembering Randy's name. That one really hurt. And Herc wasn't acting like a total douchebag for once, which was a refreshing change. I actually started feeling a bit sorry for Burrell this episode. At least he got a nice cushy job offer out of the whole thing. On to episode 5...

On the other hand, last night's premiere of The Moment of Truth on FOX got 23,230,000 viewers. I weep for the future. On a side note, I read that Clark Johnson directed not only the series finale of The Wire, but also the series finale episode of The Shield, which wrapped up filming a few weeks ago. There are so many loose ends that need wrapping up, I am surprised they are going to be able to do it in the remaining episodes! That being said, there was one particular back and forth that I found riveting and that was when the police were being mobilized to catch a non-existent serial killer, and the press was being mobilized to shadow the investigation. That was some beautiful writing and directing right there. Does anyone else love that Bunk is being actual police in the face of all that make believe bullshit that McNulty created? His story line is almost more compelling because he is doing 'real' police work. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the finale.

I've been waiting all season for that. I can't believe Chris has a family. That's just so bizarre. Good to see Bubbles again. Don't give up, Bubs. Keep fighting the good fight. Dukie needs to get back in school. I keep waiting for Prez to show up and take Dukie under his wing. McNulty is officially the biggest douchebag on the planet. I'm just glad Bunk hasn't been sucked into his web of stupidity. Bunk is stealing the show this season. But I think McNulty is too far gone for even Bunk to talk sense into him at this point. Poor Beadie. And what an ending! OK, I'm going to suspend disbelief that Omar could jump out a 5th or 6th floor window and walk away from it. I am. But only because it's Omar. I can't wait to watch 6 and 7.

He is OMAR. They have been building his character around the superhero mythos for the last 4 seasons. The guy is almost fucking magic! He appears out of the shadows and then vanishes like a puff of smoke. He is the anti-hero to Bunk's Hero this season, but they are both working towards the same goal - to destroy Marlow. I am just itching to see how that ends! And a hurt Omar is the most dangerous creature in Baltimore. That story will not end well for someone, or rather, a lot of someones.

Spoiler [+] OK, when McNulty meets with the newspaper guys, that scene is hilarious. The reporter and McNulty registering shock but trying not to show their hand was hilarious. I find it absolutely hilarious that the reporter makes up the phone call. McNulty is shocked but probably thinks it is a prank. But when McNulty mentions something about the killer calling back and the reporter panics....frikkin brilliant. Then to top it off, the editor is like, at first I thought it was a bunch of crap. They may have been my favorite scene....well with the exception of Clay Davis

I SERIOUSLY believe this is Omar. I think he was supposed to fittingly meet his end in the finale (since no one like Omar usually lives long), but since they've chosen to show us how Omar single-handedly takes down Marlo, Snoop, and Chris (and believe that his family WILL die too...indeed.), Omar has to be the one left standing, right? I also hope that shitbird reporter meets his demise over this whole serial killer thing. ETA: I have no clue why you people like that fuck nugget Clay Davis. I hope Omar kills him, too.
